TL;DR 7.5/10 Not the best RPG, not the worst. Game is really stable which is nice to see a AAA company not release something that runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I bought the early access and I don't feel bad pay extra. It's not a bad game by any stretch. People get too caught up in comparing it to other RPGs - not having some physics based interactions with the random props in the environment didn't take enjoyment out of the game.

Story is enjoyable but the ending falls a little flat. doing side quests changes what gets mentioned in the ending epilogue which is pretty cool. I know this because I did all the first zone quests, some of the second zone and then just rushed through the remainder.

Played on normal difficulty and it was easy. None of the bosses are super challenging especially if you are ranged. That being said, its not challenging because of the combat. It's pretty basic. I used guns the whole game, as long as you keep your distance, its rare to take damage. Parrying is also incredibly easy. No real challenge when it comes to combat. Zones are pretty cool. you can tell they put a lot of effort into the first zone and the last zone, and the rest are kind of got finished last. Not that they are bad, but I just didn't feel the love in the environment that the first zone got and the very last.

Worth a playthrough. Lore is cool. Don't need to know anything about pillars going into it this game.

This is pretty sweet game for $3.

Great so far! I used to watch my dad play JA2 when i was a kid (my dad and I always laughed at "Eliot, you IDIOT") and this hits all the nostalgia spots for me. Looking forward to trying coop with the old man once he gets this. Some of the controls are a little janky, but ultimately doesn't take away from the experience that much. Im sure in the coming weeks, optimatzations will come. Im hitting 60-70 fps with a 5800x3D and a 3080. I should be closer to 200+ with this game, not that anyone actually needs more than 60 for this game. If you are a fan of JA or JA2, get this game. Its good. And you might see some familiar faces and names :)

Very barebones. right now, there is absolutely nothing original about this game. I played for about 30min and it didn't grab my attention. This isn't to say its a terrible game. Im looking forward to see what they have in a year from now. I really wish steam had a middle button, because i don't want to give a thumbs down, but i don't want to give a thumbs up either.

Response to DeadPoly: No. Not leaving a review telling people the game is barebones and unoriginal is not an acceptable choice when you are charging money for a game. Maybe you should have waited to have more content in the game before bringing it to early access.

Honestly, i love the simple complexity of this game. Amazing value for 3 f*cking dollars!!!!!

How is this game still on STEAM?

Game has a lot of promise if it was an EA title. As a full release, it feels incomplete. Everything is barebones. i hope they continue to update it becuase i'd like to come back to it. It is really fun, but feels more like a 5 dollar game, not a 15.
