11/10, sometimes i do wish for more stories that openly show a bad ending

updated 26/02: devs have started to make a lot of fixes so i am definitely going to recommend this game now, theyre even intending on refunding our used rolls on event banner so that's nice of them (the tweet https://x.com/tribenine_en/status/1894662233181098265 )

updated review to positive on 27/02: the story starts off strong, XB is amazing and hooked me into the game instantly but after that, the pacing feels a bit slow and there doesn't seem to be much interaction between ur characters making it seem a bit odd that they wholeheartedly trust the mc just because his childhood friends went crazy trying to look for him. the way the game presents itself, is the most unique way i've seen a game do. the pixel art to 3d transitions and animations are amazing and i love every bit of the game itself. i still think this game should have been sold at 50-60$ instead of being a gacha but alas, it is what it is as the devs are actively trying to fix up their gacha issues (still no signs of making chests on first open, providing premium currency and not much for exploration bonuses but maybe itll be added in the future, hopefully).

the premium battle pass is still a bit odd with how it provides 5 standard banner rolls whilst other gacha games provides a free rate up roll so i still dont think the premium bp is worth considering a purchase and if theyre trying to justify it because "look we give u a skin in the premium bp" then ermm, i got news for u buddy 🤓☝ ppl would prefer rate up rolls over skins

as for combat, it really does feel like a zenless zone zero from wish 😂 at least they had the decency to make boss fights somewhat tough, especially the first big boss shark. he was ermm, quite tough to fight especially since i somehow did not register the fact that u should make him eat his own ball so u dont get one-shotted, but outside of that, it keeps u on ur toes making it pretty fun so thumbs up to devs for boss fights 👍

all in all, i do think yall should try this game out for urself whether ure a fan of danganropa or not because ive never touched a danganropa game in my life but i think this one is neat (i know this isnt a danganropa game but its got the designers on board i guess?)

this is so much better than the previous dynasty warriors, i might pick this up once it releases, but holy moly lu bu is insanely tough 😂😂

has a bit of issues with mouse and keyboard tho, sometimes my mouse would not have any inputs for a bit :|

so far so good, i can understand why most people may be annoyed with the grind, it kind of irked me as well 😂, but basically i assume the reason why it feels grindy is to balance the fact that you'll get tons of workers later that can help you gather those resources

i've been enjoying my playtime so far, game looks nice, but downside is in fact, as someone else stated, we only get like 3 different options for character creation. would be nice to be able to design our characters more in-depth, especially since this is meant to be a version 1.0 release 😬

played the demo, didnt know what to do, jumped off a cliff thinking there might be no fall damage, there was, exited the game, opened the game again, figured out what to do, decided to buy the game because it was interesting and hooked me in, had to restart as demo save doesnt transfer, got 6k coins, bought a house, realised i could take peoples coins from their stores and chests in the house if i bought it, now going on a crazy house buying spree for infinite coin glitch, now sitting at 120k coins

good game, 10/10, really love the fact that we can pre much do whatever we want to do and there generally isn't a main storyline or side quests and ure carving ur own story pre much. was deciding between this or sengoku dynasty but this had a demo so i preferred this :), more games should definitely have demos

(i rly need to finish metaphor refantazio but this game looked interesting and now its taken my attention away from metaphor, plus ive been too busy lately 😭)

its not bad but its literally the same as alpha league, i dont see much of a difference so its a good time waster if u like alpha league and are waiting for it to relaunch

ok so, i have a long review of the game available on pastebin here[pastebin.com] if anyone wants to read, first time ive ever written a long and serious review but alas steam max character limit 😔 but short/tl;dr version is just this:

game is ultra good and is worthy of goty, the combat system is a neat approach and was initially the reason why i was ultra excited for the game and why i picked it up :^) (i dont watch many trailers or any trailer of a game unless it is gameplay of the game and seeing the action to turnbased seamless transition was what peaked my interest in the first place). the story is amazing and definitely a good lesson to learn for everyone :), also grinded every archetype mastery to 100% for each character and tbh, i'd never do that so this game really appealed to me, 10/10

game is good, i love digimon games :)

i recommend installing mods for it though if you don't want to have to deal with the unnecessary padding of your digimons constantly dying and you having to spend multiple in game days just to train them back up to mega

i recommend these mods:
- dwno helper (so you know when your digimon will die)
- battle stats multiplier (to multiply battle stat gain and training stat gain)

these 2 are the best for speeding up your playthrough. i've already finished the game on ps4 a few years ago and only just recently decided to finish it on pc as well :)

game is pretty good, makes me want to play/finish fire emblem three houses xd

feels like a decent bite-sized fire emblems, really enjoying the story mechanic for one of the modes

needless to say, i like this better than tft and im addicted

edit: there seems to be people complaining about skin costs, community and gameplay seem to be playing a whole different game than i have been 🤔 which is odd, because i really cannot find any issues with the game's current situation for skins and gameplay.

i have felt nothing pay to win, sure it may seem odd having to level up your character to get them to have stronger skill level but u can still outplay people.

lets say, youre in midgame, everyone has their 1st legendary from the trait they were all focusing, instead of going for some goofy ah trait, look at who is left alive and then build to beat them.

weaponry? go evasion/frost (if they arent banned). if they are banned you can go for health to pray to live longer or healing but these arent consistently the best to go against weaponry

frost? go health, evasion and healing can help too and always pick up anti-freeze cards. evasion kind of helps coz u can just upgrade the card that lets u dodge magic. mech works too as fake tank

poison? go weaponry/health/healing/antidote

loads of options to counter so i have no clue why people complain that the game is pay to win 🤔

as for skins, ive purchased 3 skins pretty easily with the help of the chest opening and just ranking up so ive no clue why people are complaining about it 🤔 when u can legitimately get it all for free

all in all, i like the game and i genuinely enjoy vsing the bots too because they seem to be more skilled than the actual players in this game 😂 although i would like to state something, DO NOT GO SPELL YUKIMURA, THAT SHID IS GARBAGE AF 🙏 just do crit > weaponry, ull melt people real fast with it or u can just do crit > survivability
