If Terraria is Counter-Strike then this is Rainbow Six Siege. Long story short: If you enjoyed Terraria (and I know you did) then you will enjoy this one too!

And if not just install a ♥♥♥♥ load of mods, the avali one being a must, such yes!

It is like pavlov without the TTT servers and stuff and only coop and pvp based and just so so much better than pavlov;

-Guns feel better in my opinion
-The weapons finally use the strengths of vr to the fullest (THE GUNS ACTUALLY WORK LIKE THEY SHOULD AND THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CHARGING HANDLE FROM THE MP5 DOESNT JACK BACK AND FORTH LIKE IT ACTUALLY DOES IRL) (Attention to detail is given to such a satisfying level)
-It feels much fairer fighting against sweats (and like any vr shooter they exist but at least I can get a lucky onetap in from time to time)
-There is a class system like in insurgency- its awesome

So if you got vr for a pvp experience you definetely need to try this gem, I won't even get started with the guns and cadgets just try it and have a blast!

Its gmod sandbox mode on crack with extra crack

You can import your stuff (objects, gadgets, avatars, and literally anything else ever) into it and use it in a world with your friends without them having to download it, share singular files (or entire folders, but I dont know the limit) there and edit avatars together... The list just goes on and on and on and I just had one session of it to taste the water- its criminal how underrated this is at the time of writing and its even better than vrchat in things of (avatar) physics etc etc

The avatars itself have (to name just 2 examples) better physics (my freetime dev at this point told me that the physics of the parts like hair etc are lighter on your system and better overall (less buggy and I never saw them get stretched or rubberband over the 3.4 hours of my first session messing at least 1 hour around with them and even smacking them into the ground for longer that I am willing to admit)) AND they got better gestures- if you slowly press down on the controller they close their hands as slow as you press them- in vrchat they have 3 settings only- not touching the button, touching it and pressing it down)
Like I said there are countless examples and I probably wont even get to know every single one.

Just another good example on how amazing this masterpiece of a sandbox is (I only messed around with the sandbox that day- again, not even joining a proper world, just me and 2 friends on the standart home world, me just messing around with no orientation whatsoever) is the camera- you can focus it on a friend for example and save it as a PNG of the avatar, pose and item used by your focused friend on your pc AND use it as an object ingame without needing any extra work where you can resize use it etc etc etc

I cant possibly put the entire game and all the (infinite) amount of possibilities in this review and on the other hand im just sitting here after having wayyy too much fun with the sandbox at 2 in the morning...

ITS FREE, TRY IT AND JUST DO THE 5 MIN TUTORIAL AND SEE HOW GOOD IT IS

oh and all the addons and such (maps, ...) get saved on a private cloud connected to your account, NOT your pc (even though im sure there is a way to enable it somehow, if everything fails there are still mods)
The cloud got 1GB of space on standart but I didnt look into that.

Edit: Also these peeps really have the perfect view on a metaverse - good that theyre creating the biggest one known to me by far for now haha - seriously they created their own hybrid engine for it and the content uploaded to it will "stay there until the end of time" - as long as you remember to save it up to Neos your stuff will stay there!

They just always know what they are doing

Which makes sense since they got money and a lot of vr experience compared to others but still

Pretty good overall game but it could really do some more realism fixing for the guns

Edit they fixed that ♥♥♥♥ and even added the HK slap

Good example: The mp5's "handle" to get the first round into the chamber doent retract with every shot fired (like the slide of a pistol) but ingame it does- Those issues are really really annoying once you know they exist and well it just sucks that there is not enough polish in these details

Edit: I don't know if this was in a steam update but if you join a workshop map you now automatically subscribe to it on the workshop so you don't have stuff installed where you can't fetch a general overview or delete it - It's amazing and saves a lot of time!

Played through it in under 2 hours but I also didnt give a ♥♥♥♥ about the story nor the collectibles and played it on the easiest difficulty where you can grapple anything

Nice little game but I cant emphasize the "little" enough

For that reason it was a fun game but if you want a good mindblowing AAA vr game then this is not for you

Also by playing on the easiest difficulty it was really easy to exploit the maps structure and the walljump mechanic to get up literally anything in a few seconds- and mind you structures in this game are MASSIVE

Alrighty where do I start sucking this masterpiece's ♥♥♥♥...

I wasn't old enough to get the hype about half life 2 and far from playing it too but this game is what I imagine it to be-

First of all the general ♥♥♥♥;

The physics are absolutely gorgeous (coming from a source fanboy), but its closer to source than some behemoth like teardown. Everything has his own carefully set weight, you can't just yeet a body across the globe, good luck with trying to lift a body above your head first. Its like in real life- a struggle. Also if you wanted to you could pull things off that look like straight out of getting over it (that one hammer climbing rage game from a couple of years ago)- with your own body of course. That means you can push your entire body up with just a crowbar (pulling yourself up with only a crowbar is actually a way of just utilizing the physics to your advantage.)
There is climbing and its also ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gorgeous but can tire your arms even though that wasn't really my problem like... Ever. (you wont sweat like a pig basically). Also the climbing is a bit wobbly like the entire game and thus can enduce motion sickness- also not a problem of mine luckily. There is even a certain focus on climbing. I, that rather found ways to somehow climb over barricades than doing the physic mini-puzzle (in this case they aren't even real puzzles, just ways of using props to get over certain things for example)

Speaking of motion sickness, this entire game is a bit wobbly since you have an entire body, well, you cushion jumps for example and when you're climbing your hands can be a bit behind or stuck inbetween the props if you do it like you would with a "hand- noclip- mode" since they are not in noclip mode like in every other game basically. If you hate the idea of a wobbly game and find the trailer and gameplay videos look too wobbly then this game may not be for you (still, just try it for an hour so that you can still refund=>). If you just think it could get annoying then just buy it and refund it if its actually too wobbly because I promise you you wont feel it as much when you're actually playing.
(at this point I've realized how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard it is to explain how wobbly a game is but long story short: I like really precise movement and gunplay; perfect example: Counter Strike, but like I said this is my half life 2 and THE revolutionary game for me personally up to this point even though.)

What makes it so "revolutionary" in my eyes:

Little things like being able to make out individual pixels if you shove a screen in your face and just all the details in the models like the guns (which are probably the also the most detailed parts for obvious reasons) are good examples. I can't stress this enough, download it and try it, there is no way in hell I can tell you all the things that make it so so special in my eyes. Speaking of guns

Combat

Guns:

The gunplay is better than in cod mw which was my winner until now in things of details, animations (well boneworks is a vr game so this isn't really comparable) and just overall feeling of the guns
Since you're controlling an entire body in this game it just feels uncomparable to literally anything before that- coming from this game and trying pavlov was a serious downgrade at first for example. Every gun feels special and feels just right. Like so much I can't really explain it, you have to experience it yourself.

Melee:

I haven't played a melee based combat vr game yet so this is still the clear winner in my vr departement (the other comparisons to this point were not just vr based but melee is just not comparable to non-vr games) but nevertheless here are my thoughts: It really feels like you damage as much as you want- the harder you hit the... Harder you hit! (Like I said, it feels like it but im not sure if its actually programmed that way).
Also there is nothing more satisfying than impaling a robot spider headset like a kebab out of mid air and beating the ever loving ♥♥♥♥ out of it.

MISC (if you don't want guns comparable to the half life 1 endgame laser thingys spoilered you can ignore this part, its just a flawless dream anyway (Ill be spoiling only 2 items since I haven't tried the other ones yet)):

Have you ever played Garry's mod and tried pulling an item you're standing on closer to you with the blue physics gun? Imagine that in vr. Yep. I know. Propflying in vr feels like surfing. Its amazing. There are also suction cup- like magnets with which you can climb any surface. Boring but useful.

Graphics

I got a gtx 1060 with 6GB and an i7 8700 and this game ran fine with 2 exeptions that both added together lasted like 20 minutes out of roughly 16 hours of playing the game while exploring every useless corner there is.
On the exeptions my framerates dropped under (probably) 90 fps and felt rough- again this can cause motion sickness

The graphics themselve are like cs go today. Not specifically good but I fell in love with it somehow (like cs= mediocre). You shouldn't be here for amazing graphics but rather amazing gameplay elements.

So if you love physics like me this game is worth every damn penny. Its still worth it if you just want:

-Some vr content overall

-A mediocre- good story

-half life 2: alyx (every level tries something new and refreshing)


Update: There are mods. Many mods. I now have over 3.5GB of mods. Help.
