As you might have guessed, this game is pretty chill.

DAMN IT IS SO CHILL

also to say literally anything but the fact that this masterpiece is so SO chill: The progression is as smooth as in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terraria and actually much much smoother than terraria or minecraft... still!

Also you can decide what you want to do next! You dont like farming? Get a... * googles *...
centrifuge and you can make the most important ♥♥♥♥ out of... Dirt! (if youre as environmentallly friendly as me you can just dig a hole and make a little dirt farm there... And create a sinkhole that will eventually go over into a giant black hole of DEATH (that would actually be funny... But not fun haha)) Anyway, getting off track... Did I tell you that this game is chill yet? No? Here you go sweety (nohomo)!


I enjoyed driving a big ol' truck about the place to ship that statisfying loot (byte thingys and scrap stuff basically... Of course also recources but mostly the said.). Also when I lost a byte thingy that fell into a giant valley I tried to get it back and 30 chill exploration minutes later I found the thing after it fell about 200 metres below the surface like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pinball. Also its fun to retrieve your stuff after you die etc it just adds a bit (chill) tension. I wont go into detail over that because Ive wasted enough time by now.

No? Then I might add that this gem was one of my first purchases on steam and I finally play it for more than... 10 hours? Anyway Ill call it a day, have a nice... Day... Stranger!

Also THANK GOD they added a fov slider and not suck a tedious fix for it like the older one (even though... Well it was fine but also really nice to have a legit and easy (er) way to change it. The mouse sensivity slider also improved by ages. The graphic is just fine for a clean 100fps so im fine with no real big opportunities to change the graphics.

The fighting is... Simple but BOOM KICK IN DA HEAD WHOOOOOOOO KICK YOU INTO YOUR FRIEND AND THEN BOTH OF YOU OFF THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ROOF INTO A 100 STORY FALL LETS GOOOOO

Also, the sound effects (and music and and and) are SO CRISTAL CLEAR I get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EARGASM every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time I hear ANY sound (Nojoke I got some experience with games and even things like cs or (not a 7 year old game) rainbow six siege or valorant with high concentration on sound cues but DAMN this is SO MUCH BETTER (since mirrors edge isnt a competitive online shooter it puts all the good sounds on games and puts a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ YACHT onto it (yacht = big expensive boat I hope). Nojoke its SO GOOD with a good headphone (I got a 60€ razor one so I dont want you to buy a 500 euro open headset with build in cooling system or some ♥♥♥♥)

The movement itself feels lighter than in the first mirrors edge which results in this game being faster... No more lenghty climbing up rails... Well thats still a thing but much quicker and easier. As I said: Lighter

The story is nice (but im writing this early, will maybe update this shishow of a review later), no bugs whatshowever on my part and damn... Ill have to check some wrong negative comments on which I can ♥♥♥♥ on because im now a 100% mirrors edge fanboy (I played through the first one two times (for the hard playthrough) in two days but this ♥♥♥♥ IS EVEN ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BETTER REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE


edit: Not gonna get more playtime in the forseeable future because its just another copy paste open world thanks ubi.

(Like I probably already mentioned (im editing this a year or so after I wrote the original review) I played through the original 2 times... If you can get over generally unmotivating gameplay just ignore this part and my thumb pointing downwards.

Google for a fov fix in which you have to press a bind after every stage and the mouse settings are also too limited for me (am used to 1-1.3 turns in one 35cm sweep but with my lowest dpi and ingame sensitivity it only allows 1.5 so its ok but even with the convig file the lowest is the ingame lowest so ill have to live with that even though 1.3 is really my maximum... Weird but DEFINETELY WORTH THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AMAZING GAME). One more annoing thing: When I tab out my game freezes when I come back in with a white screen and softlocks. Then you restart your pc. Nice.

Well its basically a slow feeling parcour game where you have to make a way... Spontaniously... (Just try it, you can get the direction by pressing alt and its a really REALLY good feature). (I waited for a discount and would recommend said but choose it- you wont be dissapointed with the 5 hours of my playthrough but I recommend buying it on discount)

Faith feels kind of heavy- like in rainbow six siege and its really good... Because she is one thing BUT heavy! Hard to explain but if you like parcour and or speedruns here you go!

Also also its wanting to be speedrunned so one playtrough is the minimum I guess.

I bought reach. Downloaded it. After an hour I could finally sign in. It was locked on 4k and thus the hitbox of the button was bugged under my screen. I cant sign in because of that. WHAT THE ACTUAL ♥♥♥♥ ARE THOSE APES DOING MATE

Quick fun!

Stamina bar: Make us able to sprint and sneak even though our stamina bar is depleeted. (edit: possible)
Also, adding splinters (or make glasses etc burst on impact) would be really sick! (Im not sure if it actually works to sprint with no stamina, it worked once and the other time it didnt)
Edit: 5 is the minimum, you CAN sneak and sprint with low stamina... Stupid me thinks hes smarter than dev...

The attention of detail is astonishing, not just in the maps (mountanside's shed - side barriers can deteriorate and if you make no noise (aka sneak) you lose stamina because - well its not easy to make no sound so it makes sense
