Early Access Review
Think of it like Deus Ex meets Dark Souls / Armoured Core.

Since the game is an Immersive Sim everything isn't presented you in the most glaringly obvious manner, meaning the lowest attention span Cruelty Squad players won't understand it.

It has a steep learning curve which I've found fun as I've progressed, especially with the excellent variety of gameplay styles with all the weapons, gadgets and items at your disposal. This leads to my few grievances which are, DNA, Stats and Hacking need an introduction, a few levels designs could be tweaked for better mech vs onfoot approaches and balance.

It's not as unhinged as Cruelty Squad but it presents a far more interesting an deeper world for you to engage with. Particularly the mechanics of interacting with NPCs and it's dialogue outcomes are certainly the highlight.

It being in EA I often find areas that are obviously incomplete waiting for content and with a price of $58 AUD it's steep but it's up to each individuals perceived value. Regardless all the content so far is fantastic and culminates into a far more ambitious title.

Will It Blend that is the question?

The UI/UX overhaul and 2.8+ updates are massive improvements for Blender make the program much easier to grasp and to use, whilst the keybinds and quirky features are still native to Blender, Its vast tool set it comparable and can even compete with other paid products.

BUT MY GOD IS THE 3D CURSOR FRUSTRATING

It's not Counter-Strike 2 it's Case-Simulator 2, a great casino and stock market --bad game.

CS2 has launched and been left in such a poor state. Fundamental gameplay issues, a broken community server browser, with countless cheaters, countless bots and a ton of maps and modes missing from CS:GO. Bonus if you're in OCE expect poor server support.

There's been almost no updates to address these problems. --But wait, I see there's just been an update, oh no it's just Valve adding further monetisation.

The only positive changes that makes CS2 a worthwhile upgrade is the new adaptive smokes and Source 2's hammer editor.

From 2024 I've permanently dropped the game, which I had been playing regularly since 2015.

The rebuttal that CS:GO launched in an equally terrible state, is that CS:GO was originally made by 'Hidden Path Entertainment' for consoles; so Valve should have learnt from those mistakes.

We should expect more when Valve expects people to drain their wallets for continued support. Just disappointing, insulting even that CS:GO was removed for this.

A fantastic indie game, not without some faults of course. Overall a pretty enjoyable experience for $10 dollars.
