The story is mediocre. Better than Fallout 3 in my opinion but not by much. I enjoyed the faction choices but wished there was more to it beyond the main story. The crafting and base building was serviceable. It definitely requires you to fight against it a bit to make things you want. What I enjoyed most was survival mode. Very challenging, although admittedly a bit overturned. Some enemies will one shot you no matter what. What I think the game is truly missing that 3 and New Vegas had were moral choices. You see this a bit in the endgame but it’s minor things at best.

I have already completed this game on PS5 and unlocked all achievements. I loved it so much I bought it again on PC. Its definitely a must buy for souls fans.

Early Access Review
This game is amazing. It is definitely something that takes time, effort, and patience, but it’s rewarding and fun. Co op is enjoyable. It’s certainly a sleeper hit. One of the better games to come out of 2021

Larian did a great job with Divinity Original Sin 2 and they were the right developer to choose for Baldurs Gate. As a 5th edition Dnd player, I feel right at home with the complex systems of the game, and can confidently say that new people shouldnt have issues understanding the game. The tooltips and tutorials are very helpful. The game runs perfect on my steam deck and even on my laptop, with its GTX 1060 graphics card. Its not demanding and yet looks great.

This is essentially Xcom but with a Warhammer 40k coat of paint. There’s some cool things they try to do like destructible walls that you can collapse on enemies, but there’s also aspects of the game that are ripped straight out of Xcom 1 and 2 like the base building, inventory, skills, and research. It is also missing multiplayer, which isn’t a huge deal but I found that to be a fun component in Xcom.

The game plays decently, even on a Steam Deck. There is drops in frame rate but that is probably because it comes with Denuvo. The volume is very quiet for some reason and I have to turn it up a lot.

If you are a fan of both Warhammer 40k and Xcom style games, I’d recommend this, but if you aren’t a fan of one or the other, maybe skip it.

The game has plenty of crafting and exploration. Theres a lot to do in the game. You could keep yourself busy for many hours.

Im a long time player of World of Warcraft, and recently like many became sick of the many problems. I came to Final Fantasy XIV, and it was a joy. The game is better than wow in so many ways. The only thing it lacks is proper pvp.
