one night, hot springs is a very short visual novel that gives you a glimpse into and explores the conundrum of a trans person not knowing what they should do when being invited out by their friend to a public hotspring in Japan.
Although the conversations may feel forced, as in the situations that happen, it is still an interesting view of how some people may go through similar experiences in social interactions and being in public.

Achievements are not difficult but does take some time to properly find the correct endings.

Very minimalist arcade-like with unique fish tail movement mechanics to rack up a highscore.

Pros
+ Interesting movement mechanics

- Too simplistic

Guppy is a very very short minimalist arcade-like game with interesting controls, as a fish you move by flicking its tail left and right with the arrow keys. It is both very simplistic yet complex as how you control the tail may propel you faster and make complicated zigzagging patterns or circle around rocks.
Although the movement mechanic is interesting the game is actually quite simple and there isn't really an explanation to what you're supposed to do when you start a game. Each session the map is procedurally generated and you swim about finding flies to eat while avoiding the large black fishes from eating you, for each fly you eat there is a counter keeping track of your highscore. Rinse and repeat.

Very short comedic narrative walking simulator where you assist the game "director" in the background of a game.

Pros
+ Funny
+ Great narration

Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist is a very short experimental comedic narrative walking simulator, presenting a game like a show having a background crew man every interaction players encounter while they play their game. It is a funny little walking simulator that instead of putting you into the game as the player actually has you help out the "director" in the background to successfully make the game happen.

Achievements are a little more complex to obtain as some require you to carefully look and collect things throughout the game.

Very short free linear visual novel with static imagery more suitable to teens.

Pros
+ Decent story

- Bit edgy and cringe

Wander No More is a short visual novel that has a rather decent story where at times the dialogue comes off as cringe, some more than others and at other times feels very edgy. It is a linear visual novel where there are no choices to make and it really is just like listening to an audio book as the visuals are pretty static, only slightly changing to show character emotions though very little. Voice work is ok and you could tell the same people just changed their voices slightly to fill background characters.
It is pretty much more suited for teens and not older folks.

Achievements are very easy to get as you just need to get through the whole story or even skip it all if you wanted to.

Very short but absolutely beautiful art style and challenging puzzles with unique panel manipulation mechanics.

Gorogoa is a very short and absolutely beautifully hand-drawn puzzle game that tells its esoteric story through its unique gameplay. The game employs 4 panels similar to a comic book where you closely observe, move, and combine panels to solve puzzles and move the story forward.
Although the art is very beautiful and the gameplay quite challenging and fun, the game is a little short for what it is and would have been better if it was just slightly longer as the game is quite delightful.

An early demo previously released back in 2012 is included where you can obviously see just how much the game have improved and changed after more work was done.

Achievements require more effort to collect as there is a timed and move count ones as well as perfectly doing instances.

Old school classic fun hectic tower defense by PopCap.

Plants vs. Zombies GOTY Edition is the classic hectic plant tower defense originally made by PopCap, well known for creating many of the most early arcade games lots of us grew up with. Plants vs. Zombies being one of the most popular games they developed before being acquired by EA.
It is a very fun game that's straight to the point and easy to get into, placing you in an overhead view of your home lawn to plant various plants to defend yourself against the sudden rise of zombies. Although the game looks cartoonish it isn't a walk in the park as the game is challenging enough figuring out plants you need and the best combinations for levels. As you progress the difficulty ramps up ever so slightly with the introduction of new zombies, mechanics, and level gimmicks.

As you complete the story you are able to repeat adventure mode where things get harder and each level has some things changed to further make things challenging. There are also other game modes that get unlocked giving you other ways to play the game. There is even an unlockable Zen garden where you can collect all the different plants in the game.

Achievements aren't the easiest to complete but is doable with some effort.

Short logic puzzle game similar to Minesweeper but relaxing and with hexagons.

Pros
+ Challenging

Hexcells is a short logic puzzle game similar in play to the classic Minesweeper. It is easy enough to understand simply opening numbered hexagons or marking hexagons blue based on the available numbers indicating whether it should be blue or a number. As simple as the gameplay is the difficulty ramps up quite a bit after a few levels as the boards get larger and new mechanics are introduced increasing the complexity of the game.
There are no timers so you can take your time figuring things out instead there is a counter showing you how much blue hexagons remain, it also takes note of how many mistakes you made barring you from obtaining a perfect if you do.

Achievements are tied to completing levels and also perfectly.

Short very simple strategy simulator of an ant hive trying to survive and grow.

Ant War: Domination is a short simple strategy simulator where you will spend most of the time skipping turns to fast forward the game as there is little to manage your anthill other than setting up a few sliders to determine the kind of work you want them to do. At the beginning you are also able to choose what kind of ants you want the colony to be, but overall it is only marginally helpful to start since when your level is high enough the sliders are more than enough to get you what your colony needs each day.
Each day as your ants undertake the tasks set random events can happen, some of these will be fights that depending on your area can be very bad as they are able to decimate you ant populations so pick your fights wisely and retreat when they're too powerful.
There are also upgrades that you can do to you ants that will help them be better in their jobs by finding and spending gems in the shop. Pretty sure this might have been a phone game previously.
Other than working on the optimal setting for your colony most of the time will be spent in a simple loop as the game isn't very complicated. Manage hive settings, level up, maintain needs, move to higher better zones as needed, and rinse repeat.
There is an end to the game but you have to reach a ridiculous number of ants culminating in your colony taking over the city.

Short squad based FPS masterpiece where you play a Republic Commando undertaking tough missions for the Republic.

STAR WARS Republic Commando is one of the best FPS within the the old Star Wars universe that we have ever gotten with it's amazing story telling and great insight to the daily struggles of the clones in the Galactic war. Dissimilar to other FPS games, Republic Commando focuses more on squad based and story gameplay where the squad you command is important to the overall gameplay and story progression. The game is ridiculously immersive with great shooting and its realistic helmet UI system.

Gameplay
Star Wars Republic Commando plays like any other FPS as one might expect but are much more focused as a tight knit squad based combat, where commanding, positioning, and utilizing the different skills of your squad is imperative to achieving your objectives and wiping out enemies. You are rarely caught alone or very far from your squadmates as they support you in different means as the story requires.
The game really makes you feel like a Republic Commando where the helmet acts as your UI providing everything you need to know and keep track compared to random floating markers so prevalent in other games these days. The helmet also has a cool cleaning system when there's rain or grime that gets on them making it feel so much more real. Wielded guns also show you how much ammo they have left instead of having a number keeping track on the side of the screen.

For a game that came out back in the 2000s, they did a ridiculously good job with the squadmates AI where they don't feel useless but can really kill, find cover, revive each other, etc. Proper command of the squad will make missions quite a breeze.

Story & Atmosphere
Acting as its own separate story following the first deployment of the Clones into the war, Republic Commando has a very cool story taking you to many different planets and battles giving insight to the battles and struggles the Clones underwent and how pivotal special forces such as the Commandos were to the war.
The world crafted had been done with such care that everything feels as authentic to what was intended and also being ridiculously immersive. Each planet you are at feels unique and different along with the different aliens you encounter feeling right.
Other than having a specific training and designation, each character in the squad has a very interesting and unique personality that really sets them apart from each other. You can't help getting attached to the squad as a whole or even to at least one of them.

Very short minimalist complex puzzle game with beautiful relaxing music to manipulate shapes into position combining them to create story images.

Pros
+ Great puzzle mechanics
+ Interesting underlying story

ZENGE is a very short minimalist puzzle game accompanied by beautiful and relaxing music. The goal of the game is to sequentially move pieces through their designated lines to put together shapes in the correct order to from images. Mistakenly placing them ahead of other pieces will block them from getting into their proper places having you move the offending object to try piecing things back again differently. There are no time or movement limits so you are free to take your time figuring out the proper sequence to putting the picture together correctly. As easy as it sounds the game actually throws in far more mechanics as you progress further changing up the game quite a bit and making it much more complex.

The images you unlock is kind of like an easter egg showing you the journey of Eon albeit rather vague as to what is mostly happening, still it is a fun little addition than just a bunch of puzzle to solve. All the completed levels and images can be viewed from the menu to see the full story.

There is only a single achievement tied to the end of the game.
