Can't update the game. The launcher slows down to less than 1KB per second downloads. It always happens at the same point no matter what I do. Even changing computers didnt help this problem.

UPDATE: I was finally able to get the game to update so I can try playing it. It is dead if you are in the US-East zone. Only India servers actually have players. Waited 20+ minutes in a lobby trying to match make. No dice.

So first off, this game even an hour or two in is great. However....controls are just horrid. Dodge is 3 actions...The hell is this? This game would benefit from simplified controls that make more sense.

One of the abilities you have is to yank enemies. You to them, or them to you. Why can't this be the dodge key + lock on + direction. This give granular control. But instead it is still 3 actions and the button that starts it is the special attack button??? It is a good thing the special attacks are also not limited to pickups...oh wait they are. Your special attacks are a great number of things (Like 5 at my current stage). It is a mess of controls.

---Story--- Great, even if a little chaotic.
---Visuals--- Dated due to being 4 years old but still good. It is the typical DMC art style. So good.
---Controls--- This team was drunk the entire time developing the game.

---Complaint--- Chick in the van...most annoying thing in the game. Sexual, Asexual, country, redneck, with a fetish for mechanics.

Only buy when you can get everything for $20 or less.

So, I am enjoying this game for the most part. However, there are simple things you should know before you buy.

1. The TTK is very short. Even with 3 plates its short. This includes PVP/PVE.

2. There is no Hardcore mode. Not in multiplayer or any other mode. They "solved" the need for one by making the TTK very low.

3. Snipers TTK is poor. Taking 4-6 rounds to kill a person with just 1-2 plates.

4. Shotgun TTK is poor. Again taking 2+ rounds to kill/break plates even as close range. 3 plates you can't even get headshot kills point blank with the over-under shotgun.

5. Keys are garbage. You need the right key for the right door. The spawns however are random. So you could take a key with you for a zone that is 2,000+ KM away and its useless. Stronghold keys also cannot be taken from the DMZ. So you have to find one if you plan on taking down a Stronghold. There are also sub-locked doors inside Strongholds. This means you need to take 1-2+ keys with you into the DMZ and then ALSO find a Stronghold key. The mechanic is just garbage. Needs a bit more streamlining.

6. The leveling process for guns is not great and needs work.

7. Gun skins are shams. They require unlocking other guns and skins on those guns to get the skin you want. IE: Needing to unlock the final tier sniper and get some base tier skin for it just to unlock a base tier skin for the Desert Eagle.

8. The interface needs some work. Its smoother...but dang is it hard to find what you are looking for.

9. AI are VERY aggressive and have ESP. So you can't get away from them or try any sort of tactic on them. This is generally fine, but they have some AI with a TTK longer than a PVP TTK. These guys drop in groups of 6+ too. Not to mention they come quite often. But again, sniper and shotty TTKs are atrocious.

10. Matchmaking for BR lobbies are good or bad. They are either normal and nothing goes wrong. Or they never reach capacity and you drop into the map with a very small number of players.

If you are on the fence about this game please read this! Many bad reviews you see are due to a player choice error that I will explain.

At the beginning of the game you are given a choice to take over a team or make a new one. Most games this choice does not matter. But in this one it does. If you take over a team, they have an already decently equipped car with decent HQ setup and decent drivers. Enough to place top 10 or so. But if you pick your own team you start with nothing. A loan, some OK staff and no idea how to play the game.

I chose to make a new team and after I realized i wasnt winning due to my car being hot garbage I determined what exactly I needed to do. I used Cheat Engine to set my money to a large sum and then went about spending every single dime on everything until I finished season 1. In season 1 I didnt place anything above 20th. This is normal! You should expect the same.

Here is my suggestion for starting playing this game.
- Make a new team, Set your money to 150 Million with Cheat Engine. (This should be enough for the first season. But you might need more)
- Don't hire anyone but pit crew as needed, don't care what you do but keep the drivers happy. This will only help you later.
- Get through Season 1 as fast as possible and while your doing that have your HQ upgrading at all times.
- The entire time your doing this learn how to setup the cars for the drivers in practice. You can also save settings for tracks and they should be close to the same next time.

How I would personally start races
- Balls to the wall for the first 2-3 laps. See how tires are doing and don't pit until the tires are 5% or less.
- Do the math on pit stops based on this

This game is quite honestly the perfect mashup with the usual suspects. Fallout, Borderlands, Skyrim.

First, I suggest you commit to a specific class type and keep on that. Ranged/Stealth has done me good but I can see how others are good. There are a few systems to the game and they are pretty simple. Such as the ability to upgrade gear to match levels even if the item doesnt 100% represent that level of an item.

The biggest thing that sets itself apart to me is the companion system. Or Crew. You can change their combat behavior, weapons, gear. They offer quests and insight into certain choices. If you decide to do something evil they might even abandon you completely. They interact in the story dialogue and everything. I only wish i could take 5 people with me instead of just 2.

The gear system is slightly scattered but once you learn a few things you start to understand how it all works and is setup. When you see a piece of kit thats really good it might have a downside and you actually feel those downsides. Such as the inability to hack a door because you have -5 to stealth on your armor. Its really good.

Perks are also pretty decent. While i think some of the choices suck, the system itself is great though. Followers get perk points too!

Overall, this is a solid game and worth the price!

Had several hundred million in items and ships in the new player stations. Corp kicks me out and now i have only my ship and a small bit of money. 0/10. Update was stupid

I HIGHLY recommend you play this game. Its by far the best VR experience you will have. The game isnt super hard but it gives little direction and lets you discover how to do things naturally. Its so damn good. The game will take you a few hours to complete, likely 2-3 decent sessions depending on how long you usually VR. But straight up, buy this game. You will not regret it at all.

Solid game, the multiplayer is a bit buggy but the survival update is fantastic

This game is an online only game. Its a stupid port from mobile....or as close as you can get...

Halo as you know it. Sadly they did change the health of the enemies so even the lower modes are much harder. They figure PC players will just walk right through legendary i guess.
