Ok... This game has gotten a lot of bad press from some very angry people, but I have to say... I LOVE THIS GAME!!!
The positives:
- The graphic are great!
- Things are running smoothly on my machine
- I like driving through my city and standing on top of buildings looking at what I've done
- The farms are expansive
- It's really fun seeing all the different buildings
- It's challenging trying to balance the city needs, especially trying to solve traffic issues
- I love that services are distance-based and not radial, and they have decent coverage
- There are so many things to do and new things unlocking all the time
- The tutorials help a LOT
- I haven't encountered a single bug.

The negatives:
- The MUSIC... omg
- It's lacking some flexibility with the roads (tight angles, on/off ramps... maybe I just haven't gotten that far)
- I don't like having to bulldoze long stretches of roads to make minor tweaks and to upgrade roads.
- It's more difficult than I thought to master the mechanics.
- The "look around" feature with the mouse wheel is WAY too sensitive. It's an art form to pan where you want.
- I wish I could choose whether or not to have suspension beams on my high-traffic viaducts.
- It's kind of a pain having to drill down into each tool (and having it reset the default tool)

The neutrals:
- The controls are fine once you know how to use them, although some people are REALLY passionate about this.
- The UI is intuitive and clean in my opinion. I used the tutorial so I know where everything is.

Overall, I REALLY like this game so far, although I do get what people are saying about not being able to "connect" with the game. Something is lacking there, but I can't put my finger on it. Still I find it very enjoyable. I personally think the developers did a great job because the game is beautiful. I can imagine the challenges they went through. I think people are nitpicking over some very small things, but maybe I feel that way because I haven't owned a previous version of this game (and that was by choice, not from a lack of knowledge about the game).
