Early Access Review
Looks and plays like those terribad mobile game ads that you see all the time, but manages to be incredibly fun anyways.

Difficult to understand what to do and what the game wants from you, but it's cute and doesn't need much oversight. You can easily check in, do some work for a couple minutes, and then put it away for a couple hours.

Much of its information and story is told through images and a conlang with non-latin letters (though direct translations to english are possible). You will have to intuit what things mean on your own.

Can't decide which games I want installed or ignore EA games launcher. MCC doesn't have these problems, this is immature of a publisher.

Walter's magnum opus of the UBERMOSH series. Supposedly it can't go any further because the engine literally can't handle any more enemies. His other games may be interesting arcade experiences on their own, but there is no game that will compare to the large-scale violence of UBERMOSH.

This game is ridiculous. Expect kill counts in the several thousands.

If there's one thing this game has taught me, it's that any and all discussion on what weapons you should bring for a zombie apocalypse is moot, because the answer is and always will be heavy artillery.

Early Access Review
Once you get past the initial hurdle of learning the controls and menus, this game is incredibly accessible for a traditional roguelike with a vast and immersive world for you to goof around in. Every unique NPC is full of personality.

Different recipe, same great taste. It really does manage to keep the Darkest Dungeon style of gameplay while also trying something entirely different.

Weaves are a terrible game mode, poorly balanced and gets old fast. New mission is rather samey. Beastmen are annoying and unfun to fight against. New weapons are pay-to-win.

First impression is great. Weapon roles feel consistent, movement is fluid and not too difficult to perform (there is no advanced tech like rocket jumping or bunny hopping), and the visual/audial information isn't overwhelming. However, there are a few hiccups that I find annoying:
  • Air movement feels sluggish and out of place, attempting to double jump with any movement key held instead performs a pitiful air-dash
  • Reloading feels out of place in an arena shooter and feels like it adds unnecessary downtime
  • Health regeneration plays an annoying sound
  • Wall-running isn't explained and I still don't really get how to do it in the first place
  • Lack of even a simple tutorial
  • No power-ups (aside from rocket launcher) or armor on map to encourage players to explore and create their own routes
  • You have to press W to pick up things, you cannot simply run over dropped weapons to get ammo
Other than that, very promising game! Hope to see more soon.
