For over a decade now I have been a dedicated Sid Meier's Civ fan, and since I was a kid I would work odd jobs to save up all my money just so then I could afford the "brand new" civ games. For some odd reason I had an inner battle in which I fought to not purchase this game. The reason being CIV 5 just felt like a service quo at the time. I think one of the biggest things to come out of it was that it balanced/nerfed the fighting mechanics from CIV 4, but that besides the point. Then this past christmas a good friend that I've had the discussion of why I wouldn't buy CIV ended up buying it for me. I am here to apologize to those friends and say yes I am wrong and I look forward to putting in well over a few thousand hours into this game.
