These devs dropped their biggest free advertisement over a made up controversy, where no one knew about these devs ties to this person until after the drop happened. They do not deserve your money. If they are willing to do that, then they clearly do not care about their players and just want money.

Honestly, there's a idea here. But it just doesn't really have anything worth playing this for in comparison to other shooters out there. It's just too simple.

Honestly, this is probably the most mid game out there. The shooting is serviceable, the story is serviceable, the exploration is serviceable, and the dialogue is kinda bad and I could only eyeroll at some of it. Nothing much stands out (Besides something I'll get into later). And it's kinda boring too because you do a arena combat, maybe a boss fight, then you need to explore those maps being empty to get the unlocks needed to progress.

The only thing that kinda stands out is there these "meta" in-game websites to explore to get more power ups too while giving you clues about the story.

Honestly this game is more nostalgia bait that I can not make myself finish.

Tried a bunch of things but can't get it working on Linux. Apparently it works on Steam Deck with a bit of work, but you're completely out of luck on desktop.

The game is honestly fantastic. It's like if someone made a mix of diablo, phantasy star online, and wrapped it in a paint job of older MMOs like World of Warcraft when it first came out.

The gear game itself is pretty solid as it is though simple, and buildcraft is pretty solid too.

Despite it being fairly content light right now there's 25 levels you can play, 2 proper dungeons and a world dungeon and plenty of gear to find.

And you know... thicc characters are nice too.

This game is REALLY good. If you liked Deadcells it's pretty much a top down deadcells with co-op, same gear mechanics and all that. Right now, from what I can tell it just needs polish and content.

They definitely have a super distinct style with the game and it's genuinely really nice to look at.

And the music has NO RIGHT TO BE THIS GOOD.

With a patch that happened a little while back Linux is no longer supported. The game cannot connect to the online services at all. They don't seem to want to work on fixing it either.

Edit: Ignore the developer response. They are lying directly to your face. It still doesn't work.

Honestly, the actual game play is fine. But the areas are boring as ♥♥♥♥, and getting to ANY meaningful gameplay areas are so far in that it's really not worth to play though. And that's not even considering the community that managed to form where it's basically become second life light. I really don't recommend playing this anymore because Sega isn't addressing the issues of the areas, and they even nerfed the PSO 2 (classic) to make it not fun to play.

It's a shame they ruined a good game to but this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out there.

Honestly, I like the concept. The gameplay itself is fine.

I hate this for one reason, and one reason only. And it's the same reason why I hate Warframe. Build timers. I spend however amount of time to get the resources and parts needed to make a character, only to be spat in the face with "NO, ♥♥♥♥ YOU, WAIT FOR THING TO BUILD."

And for those that I know will want to defend it,
"But you can use that time to raise level in your equipment"

One thing that makes this worse though is the cash shop. The prices are nearly double or more that of warframe for equivalent things. Then there's the one time use paints, which currently you need to buy a resource then gamble for the colour you want. Where warframe you just buy a unlimited ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pallet for like... a dollar. (They said they were going to change it, but you can't even apply paints to the base characters so what's even the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point?)

I really want to like the game. But making me pay for BASIC ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FEATURES is absolutely absurd.
