for an ARPG it has one of the most complex but well polished crafting systems i've seen along with many ways to make currency and trade for items.

one thing i like is how there is no "one currency" that everyone uses. anything can be currency and even the "currency items" have intrinsic value as crafting fodder.. it's really well thought out and its quite an interesting open ingame economy.

have played the HB version for 100s of hours

its a top quality mod available with auto updates etc as a free package on steam. they even made some UX updates to how skyrim works its quite good. if you even tolerate skyrim you should give it a try

you get a ton of playable chars. up to 3 in a group with a bunch on the bench
you also get hench-creatures (up to 4 at a time) And they summon hench-hench creatures of their own

on the world map you have 2 kind sof encounters. regular JRPG action fight sequences.. and large army battles

also for the equipment its ARPG style with loot affixes for the people who worship RNGesus like myself

verdict: NNK2 is ok but i felt a bit betrayed by how they played it out

whereas the first game was obviously just a young boy coping with the untimely tragic death of his mother..throwing various dark themes at you and reminding you constantly that its all fantasy in his and his friends minds......

the second game unironically is set in an actual fantasy land and much like Mass Effect 3, they kept up the BS instead of doing what made more sense (Indoctrination Theory) or in this case, a dying old man having a last dream as he fades away and therefore coping with his death.

I mean he DID just drove into a nuclear fallout area, there is no way he gets to live through that.

it was as good as the first game imho. not worth playing a 2nd time but definately fun and funny the first time

this DLC will sit forever in my inventory for the game . i may use it one day though :P

its a legit dragon quest game and its on PC

gonna just go ahead and say i'm not done yet but man o man it's everything i wanted and the plot is interesting enough to make me want to see what is coming next. yeah there is the grinding and min maxing but im actually thinking of the plot rather than the grinding which is rare for a JRPG. well done Enix

im 100% dragonquest fanboi so i wont get into a technical breakdown. i love this game
