This game is simultaneously the comfiest and most stressful ♥♥♥♥ of all time. It's just plain old strategy fun on a deeper level. Paradox catches a lot of ♥♥♥♥, but they know how to make a good ass game that you can play for hundreds or thousands of hours. 10/10, generates buckets of jizz in my pants as I watch my Communist historical fantasies unfold.

I really wanted to play dwarf fortress for some reason but I have no idea how and realized that I have this game lying around in my library. I started it up again after a year or so and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is this game fun! I've only played the survival mode but I think that's probably the best one, at least for what i'm after. The title definitely applies, you're gonna get a good town and industry going and then accidentally not hire enough guards or have undefended buildings or some ♥♥♥♥ and then get your whole town screwed, but it's ok, you can start again, and it's really fun to start with that new knowledge. I also love the way that all of the villagers interact with everything, how they carry those big blocks of stone on their heads, or how they run with their arms flailing from monsters and wait for the guards to take care of it. The spells are fun to mess around with too and on the first night I had no guards, spirit guardian, or whatever it's called (i forgot the name) really comes in handy in those situations. Overall, it's a much less complicated fantasy village sim and I absolutely adore everything about it. I've maybe experienced one bug but that's it. 10/10 would play again.

Absolutely incredible rts, really fun with friends. Pro tip: Rush artillery, it's hilarious to destroy your enemies with something they can't even fight. It's a great game with lots of units, balanced enough factions, and crazy cheat strats. I highly recommend!

Best game ever. I got this on Xbox one back in 2015 when it came out and I have 300+ hours on that version. Even better on PC, it's a must buy, especially at it's price.

Every time they claim to "balance" the game it just makes some other faction overpowered or keeps the germans in their spot as untouchable. I used to play this with my friends all the time but we all got so fed up with this game's endless amount of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and quit. It's free though, so keep that in mind. I've heard that some people really like it.

I love it. You gotta learn a couple trades (as in classes, NOT items) but when you do, it's fun as ♥♥♥♥ to improve your skills. I love this game, especially with friends. Also it's free so why the hell not?
