game's sick, play it very gud
is what i WOULD say if they took out the bots
it's all bots when you enter a match. I'd rather wait 5 min like before for a match. they added bots for le heckin game experience but it's just lame, they just run in

The more I play, the more fun I have. Started off not having much fun for the second run, but the game has a good chunk of room for creativity, as well as skill expression.
If you feel "I have to get super lucky or there's nothing I can do!!", you're probably buying too many orbs and taking too many mystery events.

the new update is amazing, though I don't especially care for the removal of the Injured mechanic (besides as a Challenge Bell)
Have been having lots of fun with new builds, stronger builds, getting the new achievements and charms.

If you're new to the game, Wildfrost is a mix between a deckbuilder and an autobattler, though it's not quite either. You have Heroes/Minions/Summons or whatever in two 3-length lanes with countdowns until they attack, and enemies in the opposing lanes doing the same. Each turn counts down with you playing a card that you've added to your deck. During your turn you can also completely rearrange your team's positioning to play around their strengths and incoming attacks. Its a roguelite where you pick-a-path like a simpler Slay the Spire, adding cards or charms to your deck before boss battles.

The charm system is amazing and a lot of fun: charms can be permanently applied either to your summons OR your other cards, as long as every effect on the charm is applicable, allowing for some really creative combinations (up to 3 charms per summon/card, and there's also a specific charm that removes that cap)

Feels like one of those games you'd play on Miniclip for a billion hours for no reason, but with more polish
Great game, simple and fun, clean and intuitive, easy controls, solid gameplay design, seems like decent difficulty scaling though I'm not super far yet, fairly easy where I am currently

Since this game advertises as "platform fighter inspired", I desperately hope they add the feel of a platfighter beyond the typical Hollow Knight / Dead Cells type gameplay and movement.

Needed:
-back air
-dash attack
-wavelanding (airdodge currently pushes you through platforms instead of onto them)
-landing aerials (does the Multiversus type thing where your whole aerial comes out even if you land on the ground during it)

Suggested:
-directional specials (only a neutral-B type bolt that has alts unlockable)
--I'd recommend removing the "assist" and instead making them all into maybe... upB? or different directions depending on the move. Then also adding default directional specials, and unlockable alts. Having an upB alone would make combo routes a lot more satisfying

I also hope the devs listen to platfighter community feedback for things like hitstun and combo routes and stuff. It feels pretty good, but sometimes moves have too little hitstun, or enemies just let you keep hitting them even though they're actionable. Also, although it'd be punishing, it'd be cool if YOU could get your ass combo'd instead of getting an intangible grace period (maybe you get those i-frames when you touch the ground? Or even get a chance to tech, that'd be rad)

There's a ton of potential to the game, but it's not bad the way it is either! Minor critique would be that enemy rooms are very simple and let you mash combos out, which is good to like, discover combo routes and get a feel for it. But then the boss fights are typical dead-cells style where you cant really knock them around much for combos.

Also the hidden rift thing sucks ass lol

I'd still recommend this game because it just feels sick as hell to start comboing those lil bugs and stuff. And I like that different sized enemies have different weights and stuff so the combos aren't TOO same-y. Not sure if they DI, or if there's just a lotta different hitboxes on your moves that send at different angles, but the way they get knocked away can vary a lot too and that's cool as hell.

Looking forward to a lot more, and hoping devs embrace platfighter stuff even more than they already do.

Also, needs more sensitivity/deadzone settings like Rivals of Aether has. For whatever reason it's unreasonably hard to get a dstrong with my right stick
