Remember your childhood? Relive it again in it's full glory, and be reminded of how imbalanced factions can be yet somehow still be enjoyable to play!

Stellaris is an ever growing, ever changing game. Controversy of the 2.0 FTL patch aside, Paradox has continued to develop the game years after it's initial release, and, like with games like Crusader Kings II, they will likely do so for years to come. The upcoming changes in the Megacorp expansion (which will have a free update) looks exciting as well.

The game, in it's current state, allows you to create a civilization of your choosing, be it a Borg-esque consciousness, or a Star Trek humanity, and expand in the galaxy. How you interact with other species, be it spacefaring or primitive, is your decision. Stellaris is just as much a roleplaying game as it is a sandbox space strategy game, and if you ever enjoy any sort of science fiction, you'll likely love this.

Stardew Valley is the perfect game for your Harvest Moon (or, in my opinion, closer to Rune Factory) itch, and it does things even better than the titles it plays homage to.

There's no pressure in the game to expand or grow. On the contrary, you don't have to pay any attention to your farm, and focus on other activities like monster hunting or fishing. It grants a great deal of freedom to expand as quickly or as slowly as you want to. The characters within the game are interesting, and some are far more complex than you might expect, dealing with things like PTSD and depression.

The game's art style is quite relaxing and beautiful, with a rich variety of colors. There's no performance hiccups that I've experienced either.

There's also a rich modding community that I haven't even started exploring yet.

In all, a fantastic game for a PC based Harvest Moon title.

Even in alpha, Rimworld is still a fantastic game, made better with each update and through existing mods.

The possibilities are endless. Do you want to run a colony of cannibals? You can. You want to run a colony of vegans? Sure, why not? Do you want to hold the line against hundreds of angry tribal warriors? Go for it! Do you want to charge man-hating mechs with your colonists, armed with steel swords? You can!

The next alpha looks revolutionary to what Rimworld will be. And all of this, all by one guy. It's amazing.

Cities Skyline is the modern city building game that individuals like myself have been waiting for since Simcity 4. With the utter disaster that Simcity 2013 was (and let's not forget Simcity Societies, before that), there was a void of proper city building games out there on the market. The only other would have been Cities XXL or whatever rebrand they have done with very little actual change to the original release years ago.

This game, made by Colossal Order, is a game that was made with love and care, and the developers of the game knew what their audience is. Those who play city builder games enjoy their mods, and with the devoted fans that this game has, people have made thousands of new buildings, mods, and vehicles to further enhance what they already made. If you make a good game, and you support your players, then your own fans will make your good game one that will be played for years after you make it, like Simcity 4 was.

Is it a perfect game? No, but what game is? The one thing that Simcity 2013 had that I'd enjoy an introduction to in Cities: Skyline is modular buildings like hospital and universities that allowed you to design sprawling complexes seen at real universities and hospitals. Hopefully in another patch or expansion this comes to us, but this is a small feature that I would enjoy in an otherwise amazing game.

Valiant Hearts is a fantastic game. It's beautiful to look at, it's fun, and you will care about the characters you'll be playing. Most importantly, we should never forget one of the bloodiest conflicts in human history. The optional collectables along with the lessons you get from standard play will give you a small glimpse of what World War I was like.

I could not recommend this enough, even if it's burdened by Uplay.
