10/10 - An excellent game. Good story. Fantastic gameplay that really lets the player decide how they want to approach things in their own way.

Let's take for example a very simple situation - there is a truck driving towards you. What do you do? You can put on a cardboard box, get into the middle of the road, jump out of the box and wait for the unsuspecting driver and friends to investigate the box as you proceed to kill the enemy or tranqualize them and fulton extract A.K.A whisk their unsuspecting butts far up into the sky. Or maybe hide in the box and stick a picture of a beautiful woman on the front to lull the men over for easy pickings. Or have your horse poop on the road and watch from a comfortable distance as the vechicle spins out of control. Or maybe place some ECM mines on the road and watch your prey get zapped and then swoop in and clean up the rest. Or maybe you don't wanna stealth today and you wanna blow shizz up, that works too.

All of this from just one little meager outcome shows the scope and satasfaction derived from the game. You tackle a mission and you do it your way - the enjoyment comes from the ensuing chaos you cause or the ability to think quickly on your feet when something doesn't turn out the perfect way you had envisaged.

In all respects of the word - you are Big Boss and Big Boss is you; the tense situations and the way that you resolve them feels like something you have resolved and controlled yourself, rather than something you have followed along a set path. In this sense the game feels very open ended, and very satisfying.

Another wonderful experience from a fantastic series.

7/10 - A nicely-acted, interesting story with an intriguing conclusion that's marred by its awful inventory system.

8/10 - Light-hearted, colourful and packed full of collectibles, video game quotes & references - this game is an enjoyable romp into well-trodden JRPG territory.

9/10 - It takes quite a game to have action, emotional set-pieces and GORGEOUS unforgettable music, all while narrated - nay drizzled - with a voice that's as smooth as melted chocolate. Bastion is that game. An absolute indie diamond.

8/10 - Transistor is the first title released by the studio Supergiant Games since their excellent piece of work - Bastion, and just like Bastion; this game has plenty of charm.

Lovely visuals, satisfying music and wonderful voice acting (particularly from Logan Cunningham, the man who played the Stranger in Supergiants' previous game, coming back for another smooth performance) are all to be expected here.

The playtime is about 10 hours. For better or for worse, the story is kept vague throughout. Also - for better or worse - the combat system allows you to stop time in order to plan out attacks. This helps plot out attack patterns and devise strategies accordingly - but on the other hand it can make the combat feel disjointed occansionally.

Overall the game is lovely, endearing and tugs on a few emotional heartstrings. Also the game has a hum button! You have to love a game with a hum button!

8/10 - You follow the story of detective Bigby Wolf on the case of a recent murder. Bigby and the gang all come from Fabletown, a world in which the characters are from well known children's fables; the big bag wolf and the like. They live in the real world and disguise themselves as humans (mundies as their known) to keep their identity secret. I'll leave it at that.

If you've played Telltale's The Walking Dead, this is almost as high quality so you'll know what kind of ride you're in for. If not, you can expect the likes of drama, action, suspence and intrigue; coupled with constant dialogue options and interspersed throughout the games roughly 10 hours of playtime all combined to make for a thrilling experience.

8/10 - Join Jackie boy; an overpowered tentacle monstered emo mafioso, on a adventure of vengence and redemption as he decapitates, maims and murders every poor, unfortunate SoB that happens to approach this demonspawn with a baseball bat and thinks they actually have a chance.

For a first person shooter it's playtime is relatively short, clocking in at around 15 hours if you want to do everything. However that being said, the fighting mechanics are EXTREMELY satisifying, easily one of the more fluid and responsive games I've played in the genre.

For added playtime there's also a nifty little multiplayer thrown in, with four other playable characters to chose from.

5/10 - A zombie defence game that's ultimately marred by its choppy framerates. It's decent fun for a few hours until its combat becomes too repetitive. Maybe worth a look, but only on sale at a low, low price..

10/10 - A game of trial and error. Of pattern recognition. Of hopelessness. Of frustration and of jubilation. Dark Souls 2 is a deeply rewarding and satisfying experience. Packing a plethora of weapons and armour, it encourages deep character customization from its individual weapons' scaling, speed, weight, durability and down to their raw damage outputs; there are always new weapons to try. Added to this, is the fact that characters can be respec'd with ease, so long as the player as a soul vessel; around 4 or 5 of these can be found per playthough. Tired of playing with this mage? Perhaps I'll make a tank character, covered in heavy armour carrying an enourmous club. Or perhaps a nimble character with dual whips? Encouraging plenty of replayability.

The Dark Souls series has always been known for its difficulty. You died? It's because you didn't look where you were going and fell. Or you allowed yourself to get swarmed by some aggresive axe-wielders. Or you rushed around a corner too quickly and took a mace to the face. The game can be punishing - but fairly so. When it comes to fighting the game's memorable bosses, it can be as tough or easy as you want it to be - taking them on with two summoned helpers while you spam magic attacks at a safe distance or go it completely alone, fighting up close and personal.

While I absolutely loved this game, there are some criticisms. The people you meet along the way, while the voice acting in this game is top notch; the characters themselves aren't as intriguing as previous iterations. Nor is the music as memorable as some of the scores found in both Demon Souls and Dark Souls 1. The PvP is also terribly flawed; as it's now based on soul level and its not unusual to be up against people of severly higher levels.

Either way this game was amazing. A must buy. Must play.
