Honestly quite boring with no content. It used to ride off of streamer and youtuber content, but once you brush that out of the way there's really not much substance. If you consider doing some little basic minigames and arguing with your friends fun, be my guest.

This game uses AI for its voiceover. Don't support this.

Fine as a simple party game, but trying to play the game beyond that and going for par on the courses is infuriating and difficult for the wrong reasons. The occasional glitchiness and inconsistent physics of the ball is EXTREMELY annoying, and some of the maps have cockeyed collision in certain areas.

A liminal space walking sim that takes pride in its immersive presentation, top-notch sound design, and photorealistic visuals. No cheapouts here. Just pure, unfiltered dread and the wonder of exploration. It's wild to think this is free.

Superliminal is a short but novel puzzle game that maintains thoughtful, refreshing puzzle solving throughout its runtime. With a heartfelt resolution that satisfyingly encapsulates the whole experience, Superliminal's overall message is something that gives a lasting impression.

I really can't recommend this game in its current state, as it's obvious the developers are prioritizing microtransaction money over glaring issues it has. The network issues alone make it hard to play at times (I have fiber optic internet, so no excuses for this). Wait for this to become more polished.

I wish there was a way to give a neutral review. Honestly, I tried really hard to enjoy this game. I loved the art and albeit simple animations of Yogurt (same developers and artist), and this project has more of the same. Yogurt was a clicker game. This is a puzzle game, so inherently one would think it's more engaging. Honestly, that just isn't the case here.

LOLLIPOP! is your standard match 3 puzzle game, akin to Candy Crush and other games of that genre. The challenge of Candy Crush is to clear the required pieces in the amount of available moves the level gives you. That, by definition, is a challenge. In LOLLIPOP!, you are given no amount of moves. Having unlimited moves immediately eliminates any challenge, and makes the game feel like a chore to get through (every single level except for ONE LEVEL, where there's bombs).

The only challenge with this game is your patience. This game objectively has no challenge whatsoever, and I'm not really sure what the goal was here. Also, while the art and animations are nice, they suffer from the same cop-out censoring methods that Yogurt suffered from (band-aids covering genitalia, angles that always block the dude's hoohah etc.). Guys, steam doesn't care. Just show it.

Also, the interface this time around just feels bad to navigate. The level selection area, for example, has this awkward zooming/cropping that just cuts off the neat art. The overall menu interface is also very opaque and odd in execution, when pictures and videos unlock in the gallery.

Lastly, the audio. My. god. the. leveling. Sound levels are all over the place. The music itself is nice and relaxing. In order to hear it though, you have to turn up your volume quite a bit. Then you realize how much louder the sound effects are compared to the music. They're loud, not to mention quite repetitive. Sometimes, when you match many pieces at once, the sound effects stack over each other and get even louder. There are no sliders to change the volume of sound effects or music (only on/off).

I have faith that these guys can make a quality game, but they just need to learn from their mistakes with this entry and keep their next project in the oven longer.

TL;DR --------------------

Pros:
- nice art and animations
- relaxing/decent music
- a potato could run it

Cons:
- poor audio leveling
- zero challenge
- pointless censoring
- awkward menus/interface
- repetitive very quickly

This is a game that mostly shows and doesn't tell, through its unique and dazzling visual medium and gameplay mechanics. Through uncovering surroundings, one can find themselves in some very beautiful and even tense moments. Some may find it to be short. To me, it felt like an appropriate length for a game of its nature. Scanner Sombre is an engrossing and distinctive expedition that warrants its asking price.

(played in desktop mode. I have not tried VR mode, and I regret not doing it originally)

Pros:
- music is neat

- sprite work is nice in some aspects

Cons:
- sound is EXTREMELY LOUD. I have never played a louder game. You cannot hear the music, unless you want your ears to be blasted by the sound effects. There are no settings to adjust it. I had to play at 9 volume on my windows volume slider.

- No settings or pause menu: no sound settings, no difficulties, no way to change the controls, no pausing. no nothing.

- controls and/or shooting are awkward, due to strafing being forced on the mouse. no freelooking on this one, lads. (play the itch.io version for a non-strafing mouse. I have no idea how this was screwed up on the steam version.)

- Game is far too easy, and super short.

I know it sounds like I'm being hard on a free game, but it genuinely feels like this was just dumped with no attention. It lacks settings/features even the most basic doom WAD/fangame would. This is especially disappointing, after people supposedly had been waiting years for this to make it to steam, and this is what they get.

Pass on this one, or play the itch version.

This colorful party game with entertaining physics-based gameplay is marred by awful network desync, hackers, and connection issues. Until it is fixed, this review will remain negative.

*Edit: Anti-cheat has been implemented. Will have to wait and see how well it works.
