I'm not a Marvel movie or "cape ♥♥♥♥" movie fan but this is EASILY the coolest superhero/comic adaptation I've ever seen.

Symphony of the (Hollow) Knight but Celeste; a labor of love that feels like it's made by one or two developers but has been brewing for years. Excited to see where it goes from here - no spoilers because you should experience some of the surprises yourself. Only bummer is that the final third of the game gives no new surprises, movement abilities, or major changes.

One comment that nearly turned me off completely was about quitting at "Temple Seven" because it took them two hours to complete. Hint: if you're having problems with the platforming, the game literally gives you a gem to slow time and make things much easier in those regards. Temple took me ten minutes. I'm not a humble brag more than me emphatically proclaiming "that person was doing something wrong and this game is extremely generous in what it provides you for hints/help"

Even the worst CAPCOM remake is better than the best remake by any other company.

Greatest strategy game ever. Bar none.

III may have the better graphics, better Immortal Empires mode, and vastly improved combat, but this game (with DLC) has the greatest collection of campaign missions in the series.

Has there ever been such a turnaround in gaming history?

I started in Summer 2022 and it's nothing like the game we all made fun of years ago. It's still getting new content at the end of 2024. Think Subnautica times a billion. It's GLORIOUS!

Only buy if you're playing with friends or just really, really want parkour and zombies. The story is more painful than the T-Virus being extracted anally.

Vampire Survivors, but with babes.

Just play it on easy. Combat is filled with absolutely baffling decisions like "stats dont matter, its all your level", dire simplification (think Devil May Cry sacrificed two combat dimensions+), the difficulty choices are really just "can your enemy one shot you" and "now the enemy has 400% health", and only one real spectacle battle you take part in - the rest are entirely cutscene.

I struggle to vote "no" here because it's likely a great place for people new to the series (even though you'll likely want a second playthrough or to read/watch a quick lore catchup) but I struggled as someone who played the original trilogy to keep interested in the combat. And the game is, obviously, a large amount of combat.
