Absolutely fantastic game, with a thoughtful story and interesting characters and mechanics (and it's not soulless like its sequel).

My main complaints with the base game is that the driving in general is dreadful; cars and bikes can't turn for sh*t and good luck trying to control your vehicle through grass! Additionally, the default helicopter controls are awful. It makes certain missions unbearable, especially in TBOGT. Lastly, it's a pain to install and play with mods.

Sadly, this version of the game had certain songs removed because of licensing issues (and until a few days ago, some radio stations were missing), but most importantly it's been obscured by Rockstar's crappy launcher which doesn't work most of the time and it increases loading times. Currently it's unplayable because their servers are down and you can't launch the game, so that's a classic Rockstar move. Oh, and forget about playing online cuz it's also been removed.

To sum up, I do NOT recommend anyone to pay full price for this version. Even though you might get better performance in PC, you'd best dust off your old PS3 and play GTA IV the way it was meant to be played.

If you want to experience the absolute best of 1998, reimagined with beautiful graphics, then this little gem is for you.

Highly recommended fast paced coop fun. Even if it's an old game, it's got a small but solid community.

You can piss on people, you can bat someone's head to oblivion and you can tase cats; it's got everything! However, if you don't like black humor, then this ain't for you. This game is full of it and oh boy is it great. It's also got a lot of replayability with over 20 different difficulties.
