Story is confusing as ♥♥♥♥, literally no idea what is going on.
Spoiler free, you're in a building and there's red lights everywhere.
That's all I got after 4 hours of playing.

Textures are something out of Van Goghs Reject pile,
I've spent several hours tweaking the settings and downloading mods just for a visually appealing game. Protip, the only thing that visually appeals to me is dropping this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.

Lighting is probably bipolar,
Expect lighting to shift from very dark to very light just from moving your mouse a slight bit.

Achievement popups are giving me a brain aneurysm,
Every time you kill somebody about 3 achievements popup in the bottom right of your screen 25/10,000 enemies, among other achievements that track your progress to the single digit.
Extremely off putting when you're in combat having all this random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on your screen.

Disabling Steam Overlay is a temporary fix for above,
Now I don't see the annoying popups in-game - BUT now the game keeps alt tabbing like it's sentient by showing me the achievements ON MY DESKTOP.

Steam Chat DELAYED?
I just alt tabbed for 30minutes to talk with a mate, then tabbed back in game,
Now the Chat keeps popping up from the last half hour in the bottom right, I swear its been 10 minutes and old messages keep appearing.
WTF. This game is busted.

The map makes no sense,
There's 3 or more layers all stacked ontop of each other like you're looking at a vertical pancake.

Missions lack direction,
"Fix the cooling pumps" ok how LOL.
After 20 minutes of running around the pancake map I decided to bring up Dr Google and he says you gotta use your Jedi powers to pick up power generators and place them accordingly.
tf, how is that obvious.

10 hours in, the game won't open in Directx12, had to downgrade to Directx11.

devs clearly lost control

bloody hell.

Due to the extreme difficulty of simply launching the game, I'll be leaving a negative review.

There's discussions and reviews that go back years.
The problem was never fixed, we still don't know why the game doesn't decide to open, but speculation is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ EA Launcher causing issues.

I've been wanting to play it recently, but I spend a good 30minutes each time beforehand trying to get it to open, It doesn't even crash, it just fails to open.

Pretty insane game.
Should have been priced

The story seems pretty good, I'd like to continue playing for that alone
But controlling the characters is just yuck, something is not fun about it,

Kamala being the best to use as she seems to be the main character,
Hulk isn't too bad at controlling,
but I've just unlocked Iron Man and he controls like ♥♥♥♥, he flys slower than Hulk running, feels like a toy soldier getting hit way too much because he doesn't dodge or block out of the way quick enough, then I have to fly over to the next opponent slowly. This guy should be fast as ♥♥♥♥.

I've only done about 10 missions and I can already see its a rinse and repeat cycle.
There's factions, and a shop where you can use currency to buy new ♥♥♥♥, and a group up system for other players.

It's clear this is a game that they intended you'd play longterm with randoms but it just didn't work out and you're left with a standalone singleplayer game.
I wonder if the issues were due to resources being split between various characters instead of developing one.

Good game, not sure if I recommend or not recommend,
I've found myself only playing for 30min before I get bored, this just didn't feel like I should put the effort in.

After coming back to the game 3 months later, nope. I just can't.

Clunky Combat
Movement feels unnatural
Plays like a mobile game
Story, visuals, cinematic seems really good to be honest, high points for that.

This is actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insanely good.
I enjoyed this DLC better than the main story, still thinking back how crazy good it was.

MUST PLAY.

Fun, but the length is overkill.
Dropped the game 3 times over the years.

I've only ever played the prologue of HL2 and gave up,
It's not an improvement, just the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥ HL2 mechanics, gameplay, running on source with 2010 graphics.

I wrote this review after wasting my time wondering how the ♥♥♥♥ to continue, you had to pick up a valve and attach it to the pipe. Oh ok, a little ♥♥♥♥♥ dialogue wouldn't hurt instead of aimlessly walking around not knowing mechanics like that was possible.

Not a fan of forcing my way through a game where you're running out of Ammo and having to rely on melee which in turn leads to your health depleting far too quickly and reloading saves.
