A brilliant and fantastic game. I would classify it as the best Dark Souls game. If I had to rank them it would go 3>1>2. Let's just get right into it.

Pros

• Some of the best combat you'll ever find in a game
  
• Great atmosphere
  
• Great music
  
• Very challenging, but in the good way
  
• Nice variety of monsters/bosses
  
• Lots of weapon choices or ways to build your character
  
• Lots to explore
  
• More linear than previous games in this series, doesn't make you feel lost or have you wandering in circles for hours.

Cons

• Lackluster way of telling the story, leaving you reading discriptions of items to fill out the details
  
• The difficulty can be a turn off to many (but definitely welcomed by many too*this is more like a half con)
  
• Sort of in the same realm as the story, but there are quite a few mechanics not explained at all to the player
  
• Mouse + keyboard controls are quite good this time around, but the buttom prompts all being controller buttons can be an issue. Controller is definitely recommended.
  
• Connectivity issues with other players or just the servers in general can be iffy at times

Conclusion

This is a great game, one I would say is the best in the Dark Souls series (haven't tried Demon's Souls or Bloodborne). It gives you heavy action, adventure, wonder, challenge, and fun. The challenge can turn away many, but for those who want it, it's definitely there. If you enjoyed the other Souls games but are unsure about this one, I would definitely pick it up. If you are the type of person who gives up easily or rages hard about having to try (and fail) a boss 10-15+ times then I would say this game is not for you. If I had to rate this game I would give it an 8/10.

Just beat it a few days ago and had an absolute blast. Everything about this game was great.

Pros
- The sound in this game is wonderful. Each gun, monster, explosion, or even melee kill were perfect. Each gun felt like it packed a real punch and were very delightful to use.

- Lots of gun variety. Each fight had me switching to almost every gun (besides the pistol) to get the job done and to take down specific enemies. Each one is different and has a different monster/scenario that suits it best. You could use them all though if you really wanted.

- The gameplay is great. Moving super fast around rooms, dodging enemies attacks and switching to different guns to mow them down is a fun time. Searching for the secrets even was enjoyable to me and some of the references were hilarious.

- The music in this game cannot go unmentioned. The music would kick in at perfect times and would fit the scenario perfectly. Made a lot of these fights feel absolutely epic.

- This game ran perfectly for me on my system fully maxed out settings at 1080p I was getting 90-125fps depending on the location. It might be different for others depending on their PC specs of course. I was using an i5-4590, 8gb ddr3 ram, and a GTX 1060.

Cons
- The only con I really had with this game is that I felt it was just a tiny bit too short. I finished it on Normal difficulty and did not run through the game as fast as I could or anything and I finished it in 10.2 hours. I'm sure if you played it on a higher difficulty or replayed it, you would not think it was short at all. This did not ruin the experience of the game for me in any way though and I still absolutely recommend it.

Overall: I would rate this game an 8/10. Highly recommend.
