An already great game made even better and further refined. Better controls and mechanics and additional civilizations. What's not to love?

This is a game I can recommend wholeheartedly. If you were ever a fan of System Shock or Bioshock 1&2, this is the game you've been wanting, but probably never knew existed. I bought it on sale about a year ago and finally just gave it a go. A masterpiece for the Immersive Sim genre.

I play a lot of MilSim-ish games and enjoy them thoroughly, but something is off with this. Every time I try to play it I'm just simply bored. Most maps are flat and unvaried too. I cannot really put my finger on it.

Ten years after this game released, I finally got around to playing it. In fact, eight years it has sat in my library having never been played. Got it as a gift from a friend and just overlooked it. So, after getting a sudden urge to try it, I decided to give it a go.

Alan Wake is an extremely satisfying game to play. Game play is unique, yet familiar. Story is amazing and drives you to keep playing to learn more about the mysteries of Bright Falls. Characters are compelling, albeit there's a heavy bit of exposition.

To state it short. 9/10. Very emotional ride. I'd be lying if I wasn't a little choked up at the end.

A classic arcade take on WWII. Started playing this back in 2003 when it was in beta. Runs great on my crappy laptop. Still come back to play every once in awhile due to it's tight gameplay mechanics and the great community.

Speaking of community, the game still has active servers. Shout out to Merrill's Marauders server.

Post Scriptum is a highly immersive mil-sim that I can appreciate on many levels.

CS:GO Review
Classic tight controls from a game that's stood the test of time. Not much more that I could say that nobody else has. My favorite FPS due to the difficulty bar is high, it's fast paced, and most importantly it's fun.

When this game first came out I hated it. Performance issues were plenty and graphical glitches were abound. I couldn't play it if I tried, even with my high end rig I was struggling for good performance.

So, why did I come back and try it again years later? Boredom. That and the fact that I'm drawn to the gameplay style of RO and it's follow-up Rising Storm. After tweaking some graphics settings, a feat that took considerable time, the game runs great and I can truly be immersed in the gameplay.

I love this game. The atmosphere, the mechanics, the simplicity, and the mil-simesque gameplay all culminate into a great move for the franchise. I just wish it launched in this state instead of taking years to fix. Regardless, this game is very worth if you're curious to dive in. Grab it on sale and give it a shot and you'll be greatly pleased... as will Uncle Ho.

Bethesda fails to take note of Obsidians' success with the franchise and drops the ball when it comes to the RPG and story aspect of the game. At best, it's a fun base builder.
