Pretty cool.

As someone who really didn't like the previous instalment in the franchise (DOOM 2016), DOOM Eternal is a breath of fresh air. It feels faster paced, less sluggish, and despite having fewer weapons, more engaging and all around more entertaining to play. There's a greater variety of demons compared to the previous game, and all of them come with their own unique weaknesses and challenges. The game is welcoming to new players, too. No previous knowledge of the franchise is needed in order to enjoy Eternal. It stands on its own, but does reference the previous game in the story. The difficulty does ramp up later in the game but by then, you should have a decent grasp on how to best slay the demons that you've fought before, so it's more a matter of having enough health to say alive. Therefore, I would recommend this game to veterans of the DOOM franchise and new players alike.

Too expensive, Got it on free weekend and it's not worth it. Go get killing floor, it's much better.

EDIT: The game is now improved in many ways, and I now recommend it. Also, it's cheap! Only one dollar. It's worth picking up if you want to have some fun. I would suggest getting a copy or two for friends, it's much more fun that way!
