The PSN requirement is the sole reason for this review. Sony would love to charge us monthly in order to play games online. This could only get us closer to that.

good game, destruction good

great soundtrack, great gameplay, great setting, good graphics. what else is there?

there are only a few problems here or there, such as performance issues (likely to be fixed upon or a bit after release)

edit: and now they're adding in more content. while it may have taken a while, and it is uncertain how long this will last, it will at least be fairly likely to be relevant for a couple years to come.

edit: after many hundreds of hours and maxing all the characters this game is still fun to me. the content is coming at a somewhat slow pace but I like to think (cope) that now that PS5 is finished they can focus more on content (but we will see). I updated this review because it gets me Steam XP but I do love this game.

Here's a positive review to undo the pointless negative reviews that complain that this game, which already has a warning about saaad topics, has sad topics.

It's like reading Corpse Party and being like "I 100% would not recommend this to anyone who dislikes seeing corpses :(("

Very fun VR game, great design that makes the combat feel rewarding.

A prequel to the games 'dies irae' and 'kajiri kamui kagura', very few visual novels have a better translation than this.

my first VN, and among the best. it has a pretty cliche setup in the abstract, but it delivers a lot of meta elements and philosophical things that make it more interesting. the artwork is great, the ost is amazing, everything is fully voiced and the voice actors are legendary.

A lot going on in this game. It isn't perfect at all, and is rough around the edges, but it is getting some good updates and has many more features than its main/nearly-only competitor, The Isle. Instead of being like...3+ years old with only the basics like The Isle, it already has many gameplay mechanics within less than 2 years. Also, the main dev isn't Dondi, so that's a big positive. Be wary of non-recommended reviews, as many are The Isle fanboys, which is notorious for its horrible community, trying to trash the game with Dondi's directions.

Bad hitboxes

Half+ of this game is paywalled. That's all that really needs to be said, but if you want to know anything else, just know that the netcode is notoriously bad. That would be bad enough, but EVEN THE HITBOXES are bad. Balancing is screwed, but desperate ego maniacs will swear that it isn't for the sake of their pride. Community is bad, especially if you dare talk to the walking zombies known as killer-mains.
