This game had a rough start, but still had a lot of potential for big improvements. However the devs have decided to go against player feedback and criticism and have doubled down on lowering both the skill floor as well as the skill ceiling. The Season 2 update is arguably the worst major update in Tekken history and the recent reviews reflect that as of writing this review. It's extremely disappointing to see the devs time and time again cater to an audience that were never going to stick with the game anyway, while alienating longtime, hardcore fans of the franchise who are the main reason the franchise even has an active competitive playerbase still.
