I hope it only gets bigger. It deserves it.

classic criticism of "the romance feels rather jarring at times", "why can't I see what my armor will look like with this dye beforehand?", and concerns about the ending twists, but beyond that?

Incredibly well-tuned system of so many different interconnected mechanics that isn't too difficult to grasp once you really sit down and try to dig into it. Plenty of meat, and I'm sure that, no matter how you cut it, you'll get plenty to enjoy.

Another game in my search of the perfect summoner/necromancy simulator, and it's pretty solid for those in search of that too. Absurd numbers you can get up to if you use EVERYTHING at your disposal, and utility in it rather than overkill or snowballing killing machines that inch across the field. Though the generic thralls/ghouls do tend to just be a roving ball of death that maul all they see to death. Which is very fitting!

The game is amazing! But the devs no longer earn any money from buying this game.

A lot of my time with Risk of Rain 2 was thinking "Man, this is great, but I wish this was in Risk of Rain 1 too." And guess what they did.

Did F.E.A.R. have good writing, setpieces, horror, or even voice acting? Not particularly, but its gunplay, level design, movement, and weapon balancing were very good all around. F.E.A.R. also didn't have some of the worst audio mixing I've heard in a game.

There are 3 levels in this game that try to be horror, and are as effective as creepypasta written by a 14 year old with decisions that just leave you wondering "how'd they mess it up". In particular, suddenly shoving Backrooms into the game after a unity asset flip tier jumpscare encouraged me to just go outside and admire nature instead of giving it more time.

There's a difference between "this is a game so things don't need to make sense" and "this is unintuitive and jarring" too, exemplified by the many times a level just don't flow right or is glaringly repetitive and samey to a point where I was worried they had a crisis realizing this and globbed multiple levels together into one. Try to remember the layout of a level if you've beaten it. You won't remember beyond a vague image after an hour. They drag, specifically the Patriarch level, which ends in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It also is a mess in the middle, and has the worst arena to start. This is a cycle the game refuses to break after the 2nd level, all of which get progressively dire to play or interact with in their own ways.

The better game to compare this to is Goldeneye Rogue Agent, which came out a year before F.E.A.R. The only thing different between this and Rogue Agent in terms of overall quality, levels, and enjoyment is the lack of slow-mo. I wish F.E.A.R. was replaced, but unfortunately not.

Y'know on PS4, I gotta deal with cloak spitfire users and phase shift g2's and nuke ejecting titans left and right
On here I deal with that but they aren't smart enough yet to be annoying so buy it while you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ can

I'm not gonna describe the game's fundamentally concepts or some constructive and informative stuff like that, but rather my experience and appreciation aka I'm gonna ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ramble about how much I love this game. I already have a hard enough time describing this gem to anyone else outside of just saying "you're the dudes you command in an RTS" (which isn't good enough of a description).
While I do miss my first month or so of playing this game, where radio towers got "lit" up instead of specifying exact enemy locations and trucks couldn't handle gates and spaz out, the game has gotten even better than I could've expected. World Conquest/World War/Whatever is probably one of the craziest ideas I've seen instituted so nicely and effeciently. I know some people might disagree, as, from what I saw in my few hours in the first "One World War", it was pretty weird and clunky, but now on this third world war, I can definitely say it's gotten to be almost perfect. The huge map and lack of tunnel networks, which are used to provide AI defenses, creates an environment perfect for espionage, pushes, and just good ol' warfare. Until your team builds like 30 FOBs across 4 map tiles or whatever. Nothing is more exhilarating than just helping your team out in an area not too far from the front, and suddenly seeing the entire enemy army start rushing your team's meager defenses, literally steamrolling a path towards your current location. The push and pull nature at some points of these matches, while not lasting extremely long in the grand scheme of things (like 3-7 hours of push and pull in a 2 or 3 day war), create some great moments.

Basically, so long as you aren't filthy Colonial scum, you should have plenty of fun.

Vergil is back, and is somehow even more broken than he was back in DMC3SE.
Him being around makes the game a lot better, but you can still feel some of the flaws (enemies being mainly designed around Nero's gimmick of grabbing and stuff, playing through the same areas twice, then backtracking through them twice again, etc.)
Still very much worth it purely for the style and cuhrazyee gameplay.
And only buy the Trish and Lady costumes DLC, everything else can be obtained in game.
