This demo made me very excited for the full release. when the demo told me i had done all the demo tasks i was sincerely dissapointed, and also didnt realise i had already spent 2 hours playing. Love the little recycling mechanic, love the decoration options, love how its just a cozy little game.

I want to start off with that i LOVE the premise of the idea. However, the execution is somewhat lacking, not nessecarily in the game play, but in the optimisation. After about 100-150 turns, the game sadly becomes extremely slow, because it is DEAD SET on playing all the tiny, individual animations at the time. Itll literally take 10-15 seconds for the game to process the end of turn and beginning of new turn, and when having over a certain amount of islands, the game also becomes less and less responsive. :c

A cute lil game about collecting bugs. It has a fairly basic pixel-art style going for it, which is a stylistic choice that works for casual relaxing games like this.

Your goal is kind of to fill your bug book with all the species, but there is also plot, although its plot you have to go a little out of your way to find. Im personally completely content just catching bugs.

the game is not groundbreaking, but definitely chill and can recommend if you like collecting things and like bugs.

i never bought a dlc faster than this one in my life.

I want to support horse games. I am extremely enthausiastic about horse games. But man this is bad in its current state.
This is barely a demo. I get it, pre alpha. But i was just kinda hoping for more? Ill keep my eye on any further development but for now, i have requested a refund from steam.

the idea is there, but so far its a bit drab and aimless and all i can think of is to make sure not to pass the refund period on steam.

At this point i cannot recommend it, but it might be one to keep an eye on for the future

in all seriousness this is a pretty fun game. I played it entirely co-op and will base this review on that playthrough. Partner and always look for games to play together, and Green hell took some persuading, but in the end he got convinced.
This game will have you cursing a lot, get frustrated, you will die lots of stupid deaths especially at the beginning but when you learn its best to not attach yourself to any of your possessions, it all gets infinitely more fun (although im still salty about the loss of my bidon, F in chat for my bidon)
The plot is a bit all over the place, but the survival is well balanced in a brutal way, there are things more realistic than you expect (yes, you picking up a thing in your hands will add to your carryweight!) and you start to constantly weight certain risks against their rewards. The world is super fun to explore with distinct biomes, and somehow youll never find animals when youre looking, but when youre just trying to make it back to your nice leaf bed, they will find you, they will bite you and you will be putting maggots on your infected wound because you couldnt clean yourself because you passed out on your way to water from said animal attack. Does this sound oddly specific? yes, but you'll go through it plenty of times.

In short: good fun experience, finishing up the plot cost me about 30hours, but do not exclusively buy it for the plot, but its a decent add to the whole survival aspect.

I want to like this game. I really do. But theres just no substance to it.
The graphics are beautiful. the horses look great, but the amount of bugs riddled through the game makes it hard to play.
Another thing that really bothered me was the questline. The quest is jarringly short, theres no pacing, and they could have done so much more and better.
Truely hoping further bugfixes patch up the game, and there will be more content soon.
In its current state, i struggle to recommend it, purely because of its state and the lack of content.
If they do make it better over time (please devs add more content ;w; ) i would gladly change my recommendation, and i will be keeping my eye on any development that does still happen

As an adult in the starved horse game market i am willing to try almost any horse games at this point.
This one, sadly aint it for me. Ill write a small bit about pros and cons, the not recommended is purely based on how i feel about the game, and if you think the pros and cons sound fine to you, you can obviously still try it out.

Pros:
+Controls are reasonably sharp.
+Course editor for who enjoys that kinda stuff
+Many courses available, including ones made by other
+Reasonable customisation, if you want a horse kinda looking like your favourite, you can probably make it happen
+ Animations are a bit cartoonish, but not weird
+ Technically nothing unavailable for the free to play players

Cons:
- Oh my god the grind. everything costs so much and you earn so little coins
- Energy based system, you can only play so much every day
- theres technically quests, but you get 1 a day and theyre super simple
- If you dont have the premium membership, you spend more time grooming your horse than actually playing
- You can only own 1 horse
- Only 2 diciplines available

The grind and the energy system are the main reason i cant recommend the game, but if youre just looking to get a 15 minute a day horse fix, thisll technically work for you
