There just isn't enough information out there about this game in order to be able to properly play it. Many concepts and mechanics are not explained ingame, nor are they intuitive or well-designed. It feels like this could be a fun game, if it was actually playable.

A very unique take on realtime tactics genre. The closest thing I have to compare this game to would be Red Solstice 2. Aliens: Dark Descent is far more polished than its (non-turn-based) competitors, and it has a nice blend between stealth and action segments. My biggest gripe with the game so far is its apparent lack of content. The core gameplay is great, but the player is in dire need of some more cool toys to play with; which is where XCOM and Red Solstice shine.

This game has incredible potential. It runs well, and it plays very well. The groundwork is there for it to really shine, if given some continued support by the developer. I would gladly pay for any DLC or expansion packs that add more to do, more to shoot and more to shoot with. As it stands, I feel like I've already seen much of what the game has to offer, despite being far from the finish line. Still, I've had a blast playing the game so far, and I will gladly ride out the train to the very end. Kudos, Tindalos!

Edit: Terrible ending. Left a sour taste in my mouth, and knocked a few points off in my opinion.

A true spiritual successor to Wargame: European Escalation. It trades much of the micro complexity in favour of a greater array of strategical options, which makes it play in a similar manner while allowing the player to focus more on the actual engagements taking place. It also incorporates a host of positive changes and additions which enhanced the Wargame series over the course of many titles, such as the ability to query your units' LOS at any position of the battlefield. On top of all of this goodness, it has plenty of unique and fresh innovation to make it stand out from Eugen's latest games. As per usual, if it's published by MicroProse, you can expect it to be good.

I'm not a fan of the environmental instant kill mechanics that can delete entire armies if you don't pay constant attention to them.

This educative videogame should be a mandatory class in highschool. It teaches a lot of things about computer architecture, from NAND gates to Turing-completeness.

While the Men of War series has always been multiplayer-focused, this entry is entirely worth it for the singleplayer campaign alone. The fifth and final mission of the German campaign was incredible. A massive, all-out war with all of the late-World War 2 tech you can think of. Or at least the stuff present on the eastern front. The third and the fourth missions in this campaign were kinda lame, since they involved very limited resources, time pressure and quite a bit of jankiness. Let's see if the Russian campaign can live up to the very impressive end to the German end of things.

The latest update was a huge step back. I do not want to hear a sassy woman lecture me on unions while I'm stripping space ships of their parts. I don't want anyone to talk to me outside of the absolute necessities, such as my oxygen levels running low. This is a game I play to relax and to mellow out, not to contemplate politics or engage in dialogue. Or, at least it used to be. Hoping for a mod or an in-game option to remove this stuff.
