The game is kinda like crack, (I don't know what crack is like.)

18 Hours in and im still just on nauvis.

While the game can be fun, i cannot recommend it in its current state as the level of bugginess and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is just unacceptable.

The amount of times I've had whole entire kill squads spawn directly on top of me while I'm looting and just insta-kill me is rediculous.
Ive just randomly lost access to most of my vendors that would actually sell me kit i could use to have a better chance in mission.
The whole "randomly go into a night/spooky mission is just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying because (In my experience) you are encouraged to just leave as soon as you enter. Also you literally cannot see more than 2 feet in front of you on some maps when this happens.
When being shot at your entire screen turns red and you become blinded to the point where you cannot fight back, even if you know which random mob is shooting at you from across the map. Also the muzzle flash is way to intense IMO.
The amount of bugs this game has when it comes to animations, desync, and your character getting stuck gets really infuriating.
Esc not closing out of the looting menu is mildly frustrating, but manageable.

That all being said i do think the game has great potential and it gets saved by playing with friends. Yes its very cliche thing to say, but in this game when playing solo and you go down, you die, but when playing with friends you have 30 seconds to attempt a revive. Also you split aggro and you 4 people to shoot back. Finally its worth mentioning here but i have yet to have it be a problem. The water system in the game looks to be a really terrible way to force you to keep playing as it wipes a lot of your progress, but the devs said they are "looking into solutions." We'll see what that entails.

A very meaningful jump from the first Frostpunk. The political system is very interesting and difficult to manage. Even on the second difficulty setting (there are 4) i found the game quite challenging for the first 2/3rds of the game. Getting your city off the ground and surviving those first 300 weeks is very challenging but very rewarding. Me and my friend even both failed the tutorial our first go around.

The theme and atmosphere of this game is absolutely amazing. Its just all around a beautifully crafted sandbox. The story mode was excellent too, it took me about 8 hours to beat and i ruled with an iron fist.

I can't wait to see where the modders go with this game, and the devs too for that matter.
