Buggy, unfinished, unoptimised, and abandoned.

Abandonware. Last update was a year ago and those last updates weren't very meaningful anyway.
Apparently, half (2) of the developers quit to work on the scam "game" that is Earth2, so that also doesn't help.

Due to the heavy emphasis on text-based storytelling, the game is certainly not for everyone. That being said, I find this game to be a hidden gem.

Because of the heavy reliance on storytelling, it comes as little surprise that this is what the game excels at, though sometimes, the writing may become long-winded.
The gameplay elements, whilst light and not that varied, are satisfying and compliment the lore of Golden Treasure greatly.

It is a shame then, that not many people actually play it. For the amount of content and effort that has been put into it, its small popularity is something that I simply cannot comprehend.

I cannot put into words how much I like Golden Treasure, mostly because I'm inept at writing these reviews, but I hope that this review and others convince more people to try the game.

I probably consumed enough soda to fill an oceanic world.

Not my personal cup of tea but I do recommend you try it yourself because the game itself is solid.
