I played Mafia 1 and 2 as definitive editions before i touched Mafia 3 and frankly i'm disappointed.

The stories of 1 and 2 had some rather unpredictable plots which gave u the certain Mafia effect a Mafia game needs (obviously) the gameplay of 1 and 2 was simple (wich was/is fine) but the missions were always interesting 3 modernizes many aspects wich isnt a necessarily a good thing, got cops? just buy them of. want to buy some ammo? call a vendor etc. put that together with the same missions just on different locations and u got the reason why modern RPGs tend to be bad or at least worse then there predecessors.

side note: i get that Segregation was a big subject during the 60-70s in america and its interesting to be put in that time as a black man, but i don't think that using the Mafia scene, as a medium is fitting, it felt more like fighting for BLM then building a Mafia, witch isnt wrong but certainly kills the vibe of a Mafia pretty fast.

btw. the plot of building your own Mafia is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lame if u ask me, again i played 1 and 2 before were u had to work to get some kind of recognition.

all in all id love to have the storytelling elements of this Mafia in a Mafia that is closer to 1 and 2 gameplay and story wise.
