Adds a flare to the tower defense genre by introducing first person game mechanics. These include first person placement and upgrading of towers and first person shooting. Unreal based graphics engine looks sharp and polished. Your weapons can be upgraded in lieu of tower defenses. Tower foundations can be fitted with teleporters allowing quick access to different parts of the map. Well thoughtout and executed. Only 4 maps at present but multiple difficulties. A steal for the summer sale price.

Unique platformer with a "twist". Unique in both art form and mechanics. Mechanics though simple nicely complement level design. Started playing for the ticket but it kept my attention. KB/Mouse and controller support with remapping ability. A good couple of hours of challenge for the $2.50 summer sale asking price. Ability to replay levels or speedrun against other leaderboard times.

Appoximately 5 hours to beat. Didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised how much fun I had. Game was knocked for it's repetiveness but it's gameplay mechanic keeps you going long enough until you beat it. More to do after the story mode is done. Rebought it on Steam for another playthrough and the achievements. 2011 summer sale price is a good value.

An incredible twin stick shooter made even better by it's new dlc, a new perks system, better enemy selection and of course the summer camp prize. Unmatched visuals, a built in visualizer, great rumble, 5 difficulty levels, multiplayer, multiple modes and leaderboards round out the best twin stick shooter ever made. If you have headphones that rumble like the Teknmotion Pulsewaves the experience is awesome.

During a quest line that initially seemed innocuous or too much to bother with but ultimately directs you towards an npc with a treasure trove of information on the massive world that you partcipate and you speak to and listen captively to this npc for what seems an eternity you realize what a tremondous achievement Fallout New Vegas is. Briliant in it's construction and writing. Grand in it's scope. Rich in exploration. So big that 50 hours of playing time and your choosen build might not even yield the true gameplay or dialog gems of what has to be considered one of the best rpgs ever crafted. Yes it's just a desert for the most part but this desert has the richest of gaming gold waiting to be mined.

This and Prototype have to be the ultimate sandbox blow sh*t up games out there. Can't get enough of RFG. It's awesome in almost every way. Gameplay design, sound, graphics, environmental immersion. I've heard the phrase GTA on Mars. Sure that fits. Many on GAF seem to preach to play it on easy for maximum enjoyment. Can't agree there. While normal is a challenge, you need to use your wits and the tools at your disposal to succeed. Annoyed when I fail :) but nothing discouraging and it's my fault when I do. The game provides me with everyhing I need to succeed. By now you've heard the tech in this game is amazing and it is. Really a benchmark in gaming. Looking forward to Red Faction: Armageddon.

Picked this up in a Steam sale long gone by and really didn't give this the time of day. After TDU2 was in the mood for more mission base driving which CTII does quite nicely. Nice graphics engine and alot of detail in the environment make CTII a pleasure to look at and at 60FPS. Missions are limited to what you can do with a game like this. There are multiple difficulty levels. It's been quite sometime but the game sort of reminds me of Wreckless, the mission based racer for the Xbox. The primary career mode encompasses the exploits of 2 of Germanys finest though there is a Case structure for replayability and picking up past the 1st stage of a multiple stage Case, a welcome feature giving that I've played too many games that make you start from scratch. There is a race mode where you can set up parameter based race events. These include all of the vehicles in the game including semi's which no doubt leave a path of destruction. A great value for the price paid and a fun game.
