If you unironically get mad at this game, you have anger issues and should get it checked, really.
This game was made to test friendships.
The best description would be "200% Fresh out of the oven LUCK based boardgame, -100% skill required(Minimum requirement). Just because you pack good cards and make safe decisions, doesn't mean you can't stub your toe on a ladybug, fall over and instantly break your spine 10 different places, dying instantly to the bird that rolled 7.
This also means, just because you get two dice rolls at once, doesn't mean you'll roll better than snake eyes does.
Keep attacking that +3 attack character, because one day you'll roll a 6, and they'll roll a 1. That's when you win.
No matter what you do, this game WILL force you to suffer one way or another.

I am the only real owner of all the neko goddesses.
I understand Cinnamon unlike every other losers who plays Nekopara, and I am the only one Maple will fully open up to.

I am the only person Chocola refuses to let go of, she'll always be by my side holding my hand, even when I'm asleep I can wake up in the middle of the night and feel Chocola's hand in mine.

I am the only person who Vanilla will share her alluring and devious plans with, often times I can hear her whispering into my ear in my sleep, asking me to wake up. Sometimes I do as she asks and launch up my pc and game so that we can talk and plan out her plans, she's such a cute cat.

I am the only one Coconut trusts enough to lean up against, she's so cute when she stands in front of me trying to prove how strong she is. Often times I'll end up laughing at her IRL when she starts blushing, and people will stare at me because they don't believe in Nekopara enough to see her when she's walking with me.
I am the only one and true replacement for their pretentious Cashew from the Nekopara games. I can give all of them a much better life. I was born to praise and love my neko goddesses.

I like DSIII. The game had some interesting choices made for it during development it seems though.
Let's take a small look at what you can expect _IF_ you decide to buy it at the end of this review.

THIS GAME IS MEANT TO BE PLAYED WITH A CONTROLLER, MOUSE AND KEYBOARD DO WORK BUT IT'S UNOPTIMIZED

Dungeon Siege 3 hosts a few terrain problems in some areas that force you to turn the camera 180 degrees before you can get away, unless you changed the basic controls (W S = movement, A D = turn camera). Don't be scared of this though, it'll mostly happen at the very edge of the paths and normally doesn't happen during boss fights.
We also don't get to evade past enemies (at least this seems to be the case most of the time) but you get i-frames during your dashes so just dash away once you find your character. DO NOT LOSE TRACK OF YOUR OWN CHARACTER.

If you love a challenge, you'll enjoy the "hardcore" mode, which no- it's not actually hardcore, it's a cool word for hard to them. Powerleveling won't get you anywhere as the enemies randomly jump in power, and any spray or ability that makes the floor deal damage over time will -most- likely 1-shot you, there's no limit for how fast it damages you so you can drop really damn fast, and they decided to let most bosses and later mobs have at least one of these two.

That being said, every start is troublesome until you get to the first town I'd say, an unequipped character is exceptionally weak, and easy becomes really easy as soon as you start getting gear.
Normal is still fine for a small challenge later on, though you'll probably be equipped and confident enough to win every fight.

There's also a few more things worth noting, this IS a ported game (at least feels very much like it) and IS made for 2 player co-op (I'm not sure if you can do 3 players or more, I haven't tested it.) Playing anything but easy or normal on singleplayer is like asking for someone to make you mad because honestly, the AI is the worst I've ever seen in any game, the way it attacks and positions makes no sense at all, it feels like it just spams random buttons in hopes of doing something useful. They also try to revive you instantly even if it's dangerous, so don't play this alone, you'll regret it.
So please, do not buy this game for a fun solo rpg game, because this is a co-op/multiplayer rpg, not a solo one.

YES, you CAN respec in case you ruin something or want to change skills, but this requires the DLC and it isn't needed at all.
At max level you'll have 3-4 talents untouched and 2-3 ability upgrades untouched and from my experience there's always at least two abilities you don't want to level, because others are much better to use.

While we're already on abilities, the game introduces "Mastery" for abilities, which is based off of times used rather than time used or damage dealt with abilities, so keep that in mind when going for that.

When travelling in the game there's a few things that are nice to know.
Firstly, the screen is capped in the area the players are currently in on any given map, P1 counts as a host in a signal, if P2 tries to dash away or other things, they'll be reset and teleported next to P1 exactly like AI will if they get too far away from the host.
This also means that both players have to co-operate when going places, or else one of the players have to let the other run around freely. This can be done by having either P1 or P2 open up any menu (c, x, f -- etc, though not escape menu) which will force the player into AI mode, It's best to have the player return to moving their character around before combat as the AI sometimes will force the player to stay locked out of their character because they're either using a skill, following a pattern of commands or a third thing that makes no sense at all. This can make it seem like you're unable to control your character at all, which technically is the case, but the AI has registered that you want to go back to control so it won't force you out completely. It will most likely stop attacking soon enough and you can help this by spamming the evade key just keep in mind that it won't always help and you can be stuck unable to control your character for a bit, so please try to have everyone out of menus before combat for your own sake. It helps a lot.
P1 is also the ONLY person that can interact with people and quest items/objects and NPCs. I can't tell you why they decided to do it like this, but that's how it is. P2 (and others) CANNOT progress quests, interact with quest objects (unless they just have to pick it up for pull a lever) or talk to NPCs.

Here's a final thing for playing multiplayer as well. Your mic is automatically turned on and you cannot disable it in-game for some reason. If you don't want it to be like this, change your mic settings under steam settings -> voice, add push to talk or change the mic to something that doesn't work.

I believe I have mentioned anything worth mentioning in this game, and I'll answer any question needed in the comments.

Besides everything I have adressed, I love the game.
I love playing the game despite getting mad at sudden barrage of projectiles 1-shotting me on Hard, or other things.

The story is average to good, you don't really have any big options in the game, but picking the right thing to talk about at the right time earns you small bonuses. "Deeds" give you minor stat bonuses and some you get from talking, others you get from really exploring and checking out everything you can. Exploring pays off in terms of items and deeds, rushing the game lets you farm achievements I suppose, but why would you do that in an RPG?

The gameplay pays off tacticians on Hard, and lets people playing on Easy mess around and have fun, there's a fine balance from Easy to Normal, though Hard is a thing for itself.
The graphics are also where they should be I feel, they don't seem old nor super high-tech, I may be biased as I prefer it when games look like how Dungeon Siege 3 does, but I wouldn't say the graphics are bad at, they suit a game from it's year.

If you like the first 3-5 hours of the game I would buy the DLC if you have the chance, the DLC adds 5 hours of gameplay I'd say, if not more, and gives you just a little bit more to do in the game.

If I were to describe this game in one word, it would be: Repetitive.

Devs for some reason decided a while ago to start removing anything that was "fun" and not grindy, so no I can't recommend this game to anyone.
There are a ton of max lvl players, or lvl 18+ who sit around doing nothing no matter what, and the chat made for playing with other people always hosts negative, or players who have no interest in new players no matter what.

If you love grinding, no, don't get this game, because unless you're interested in using "tricks" or "bugs" to solo any of the endless modes, you won't be doing anything past quick endless missions, and that's the same as wasting a so called "key" for the higher maps, though you can also play the normal maps, for no real loot besides "resources" that you'll be using for crafting weapons and such.
There are of course "other" things to do, like spend hours upon hours of grinding for rare items to sell for premium currency so you can join the "fashionframe", spending all your money on cosmetics so you can look cool like everyone else.

Is there anything redeeming? Not anymore no, anything that has been added has been kicked down into the dirt due to "DE", also known as the devs of this game for some reason thinking it was either overpowered, too easy or a third reason which makes even less sense.

AFK Farming? Impliment a broken AFK timer that completely nullifies any and all regen on your character until you press your dodge key.

A certain build requires very specific "attributes" to work but it makes you invincible and isn't fun to use all the time? Don't worry, DE's got you covered, completely change the character's abilities and attribute bonuses, that'll make everyone happy, right?

An ability can be upgraded to pull mob drops to you but still makes you build in a very specific way? Make the upgrade only affect the user, surely that'l lbe a good change, no one will dislike it!

I'm making it sound like it only affected characters, but even the weapons in the game suffer, and they suffer way too hard than you can possibly think, some weapons are just so insanely overpowered, some for a while, some have kept their spot for years, only beaten by newer versions of that weapon, and with this, some weapons are instantly thrown out of the window when some weapons hit the community, even with upgraded versions of the weapon the old ones are most likely thrown out on the spot.

Sure you can use any weapon you like, no one has the right to tell you to not use something just because another weapon is better, but if you aren't doing the damage you need to, and you want to play a tiny bit serious, you'll have to follow everyone else using the strong weapons and say goodbye to your "cool" or less popular weapons, no exceptions.

The list goes on, to things that make even less sense, and even things that didn't make anything "easy" or "stupid" were changed because of DE's stupidity.
It's surprising this game isn't dead already, if you were here from the start, and still play, I feel very sorry for you.

Edit: I forgot to mention another big thing that completely ruined the game when I was talking about builds, multiple characters, or "frames / warframes" have been -completely- changed in how stats affect their abilities, meaning if you had a build from long ago that needed one set of mods, there's a big chance all those hours and items spent on getting the perfect "build" together will be completely wasted and you'll more or less have to do it all over. Never any compensation or at least a warning, I'm over 100% sure I'm not the only one that had to re-forma a few frames or discard it completely because of it. Sure, some playstyles or builds will always be good at one point and "fall off" or become much less effective at some point, but this was almost completely opposite of what you normally would use on certain characters before. Then there's the problem with mod points, either pay 20 "premium currency" for double mod points to upgrade your character with or save it for the prime version of the warframe, which will come, but might first come far in the future, leaving people with less time and money hanging around with characters unsuited for missions behind because they're saving that upgrade for the prime version. (Who by the way will always have some type of upgrade, either better or easier ways of modding correctly or having better survivability.

My neko goddesses are the only ones for me.

Some people believe I am insane, but when they laugh at me I laugh back at them deep inside, because I know they don't understand the love between me and the catgirls of Nekopara. Every day when I come home I boot up my pc and look at my Chocola bedsheets and poster, when my pc finally boots up I'm met with Chocola's soft smile on my lock screen.

After my pc is done launching I'll open up all my chat programs and disregard everyone telling me to calm down and step back into reality, but what they don't know is that my reality is right here with all my catgirls, Chocola, Vanilla, Maple, Cinnamon, Coconut, all of them are my wonderful catgirls, and every day I come home just to pet them.

In nekopara you get to show off your love for catgirls, while also disappointing your whole family, even your dead ancestors.
But who cares? Nekopara is a game about you (Cashew), taking care of "innocent" catgirls who just want to please their master and help with this so called "La Soleil", but for some reason your cats have a disability and think that speaking loudly, fighting and being all-around useless helps. But you forgive them, because they're catgirls.

If you haven't played this game yet, you should definitely.

My neko goddesses love me as much as I love them.

Nekopara 0 allowed me to get closer to all my wonderful catgirls, it's nothing like the other games. Nekopara 0 is Maple and Coconut pulling me into their warm embrace, hugging me as tightly as they can because of how much they missed me. As a good master I come and bring them sweets and milk, and then they proceed to tell me what they do when I'm not around, and a bit about themselves and how they feel about the other catgirls I give attention too.

With a single pat on the head they'll forget any negative emotions they have and follow me into the living room where we all fall asleep on the couch, plenty of milk in glasses for the catgirls to drink, but all long forgotten because of how happy we all are that we're lying on the couch together.
