Man I tried, but it's just not for me

I admit, I only got here because of SSeth's review, and yeah, the game is just like that, I'll probably waste a lot of time here since I enjoyed it a lot, but for a first day playthrough, 16ish hours it kind of a good sign.

Got home friday at 7PM and played it till sunday without turning it off, the game is THAT good.

They teached me how to make mods to this, now I can't look at this game the same way I used to

I initially bought this program to create maps, but it turned out to be more of a "videogamey" tabletop tool. While I found it somewhat useful for making Call of Cthulhu maps, I switched to CAD programs like QCAD and FreeCAD because floorplans fit much better with my table’s style of play.
This tool might be more suitable if your gaming group needs 3D visualizations to enhance immersion or to compensate for a lack of imagination. However, I believe these features can detract from the game’s experience. The effort required for the Game Master (GM) to learn enemy placements in a 3D environment and to host a server for player connections (each needing their own client) is simply “too much effort”. This contrasts with programs like Foundry VTT, where only the GM needs to purchase a license, but you still need to learn how to host it.
The complexity involved makes it less appealing for a few hours of gaming with friends. I would recommend using this program for some basic map designs or to create simple scenes, such as a Cthulhu model overlooking a boat in the ocean, which it handles quite well, though I’d still pass this through an AI if possible to add some effects.
For actual gameplay, I prefer “simpler” solutions like a Discord plugin for rolling dice or Foundry VTT combined with some JPEGs found online. Despite its drawbacks, I still recommend this tool for its assets, which make scene creation straightforward.
