I love this game. I played it once by myself for a while, then waited until we could get it for my wifey to play multiplayer with her.
Started a new game, barely showed her the ropes, died to cannibals during the *one* minute break she took to run get a drink when we were hidden in a relatively safe area waiting for the sleep action to cool down.

10/10 would die to cannibals with my wife again. And probably will, tonight.

Very fun game. I enjoy the crafting and survival aspects a lot. I wish the inventory management was a little less annoying. Very cool base building.

Just bought this game and we played it for hours last night. Super fun! If you enjoyed Left 4 Dead or Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer, I highly recommend this as it's similar to those concepts. Especially reminiscent of L4D, so much so, we were calling the specials by L4D names by habit. :)
Excellent with 3 friends to join you. Didn't try with bots, but our usual 4person group enjoy it immensely!

I originally did not recommend due to the game simply not running, but on a new install of Windows, it started working and I played it. Very fun game. Overall totally love the style of play. Problem this time was I got pretty far into a save and the save corrupted for no reason and I couldn't continue.

That sort of thing really does make me wary considering how much time and effort I put into my base and how invested I was in my family.

Going to give it another try and hope that doesn't happen again. Meanwhile, I do recommend it because it's a lot of fun.

It's a simple, fun little game that you can spend hours playing and you're having so much fun you don't even realize how long it's been. Definitely worth it, especially on sale. Bought it for like $2 and it was well worth the $10 original price.

If you like horror games, I recommend.
I do not like horror games and I am completely a wuss when it comes to this sort of game.
That said, the atmosphere was SO GOOD that I couldn't play more than a few minutes.
I got the first room, plopped it down, and couldn't figure out how to get into it by the time the tension had mounted too high for me to be able to keep playing.
SUCH atmosphere. SO scary. Wow.

I have no idea how this game has such low ratings unless these people just don't like being scared because this game is SO scary! And a cool idea! I wish I had the guts to play it. *shudder*

This is a great little game. I have had lots of fun playing it.
You get to manage a town, collect resources, and battle to protect your town from invading monsters.
The battle system is a classic match-3 style game, but when you make a match, it fires elemental bolts at the approaching enemies.
So Match-3 + Tower defense sorta.
You get money and resources from fighting, and you collect resources in town, upgrade your town buildings, manage your citizens, and make decisions on how to run things.
The decisions you make affect your playthrough and can give you hidden bonuses (like I have moved my culture enough toward favoring magical research that I just received a "discount" on casting spells).
Overall, very fun game. It's a good game to pick up, play a few rounds and put down, or you can easily play it for hours.
Definitely recommend!

I really wanted to love this game. I mean, I really, really, really wanted to love it.
But I can't.

I absolutely adore the art style.
I love the concept.
And the plants are adorable.

But the gameplay sucks any chance of fun out of it for me.
The idea of the gameplay is exactly the kind of game I usually love.
But some of the decisions the designers made on how the game should work were foolish and they ruin the fun of the experience.
You buy plants from a catalog and sell them at a huge loss.
If you breed the plants it's free, but your machine only has a super limited number of uses per day.
So you basically can't actually experiment and play around any and if you make even one tiny mistake, you can screw yourself over completely.
The result is that the game is more stressful than was necessary and the idea of a shop owner selling their plants at a huge loss from the acquisition cost seems hugely immersion breaking and frankly, I think it was done as a way to artificially increase the difficulty, and that sloppy design shows.

If they had chosen instead to make the catalog orders a break-even scenario, you could play around, try things out, learn about plant genes in a lower-stress environment and have fun.
In fact, even with various difficulty levels, that would be nice. Low difficulty, break even on catalog orders. Medium, small loss. High, the default loss currently in the game.

As it is, I think it's incredibly cute to look at and it refreshed me about how genes work very minimally... but I can't recommend it as a game because I didn't enjoy it. :c

If you like spacing out to music and hitting keys, it's rather fun.
If it excites you for your favorite songs to be in a game, it's rather awesome.
Recommended to play while relaxing with a drink. ;)

I spun in circles every time there was a cut scene.
10/10 would spin in circles while people tell me who to kill again.
