Rock and Stone, brother!

This might ruin other RPGs for me.

Brings the original Half-Life into a playable experience in 2017. Not complete yet but what you get now is most of the story of Half-Life.

An elderly man begs for you not to steal from him.
You ignore his desperate pleas.
As you begin to search his home, he continues to follow you.
You've taken his most valued possessions- food, medicine, bandages. Everything he needs to survive.
He only has a final request. "Please don't harm my wife."

This War of Mine is a survival game, set in the middle of war. However, you don't have any military experience, you're only a civilian trying to survive in this war-stricken nation.
Mechanically the game is straight forward- point and click for actions and movement. The challenge is deciding whether your survivors need heat, foot, or medicine more, and how to ration your limited supplies.
Emotionally, the game makes you consider your choices. Do you want to kill an unarmed man posted watch in cold blood, just to retrieve some food? Is it worth taking what little supplies an elderly couple have left, for you to survive?

GOAT of the Year.

Great game. Endless modding capabilities to add additional content, systems, and to increase the difficulty! Spaceplanes, rocketships, and Mun Bases are all possible in Kerbal Space Program. Did I mention you get to play as green aliens?
