If you're currently reading reviews and are wondering why there are so many negative ones then let me explain. The only people complaining about this game are the alpha testers and kickstarters who feel that the developers have done them wrong. If you're looking to buy the game at it's full release then you should ignore all of these reviews as they're irrelevant to you.

Pros

- The guns are exciting to use, they feel fun to shoot and the addition of the hitmarkers when fighting is very helpful. The shooting feels realistic with the added recoil to every weapon, the iron sights and scopes of every weapon are accurate and there doesn't seem to be any lag or delay when shooting at others.

- The in-game currency system is fair and encourages you and others on your team to donate to each other for the guns you want specifically to win each round. You are rewarded with coins after every round depending on kills, whether the bomb was planted or defused and whether the round was won or lost. Most players that I've played with have donated me coins to buy a sniper or an extra grenade and it encourages a friendlier experience in games too.

- In my short experience, every game that I've played has been friendly and fun, every team that I've been on has communicated well and helped new players to adapt to the game, this is definitely the biggest benefit as a community shapes the way a game is presented and in this case it has definitely made it more enjoyable for me.

Cons

- The gunplay is exciting when you get it right but is also annoying and repetitive as every other fight is trying to hit someone jumping around a corner perfectly shooting you in mid-air. The character models are also quite bright and in some maps feel hard to hit especially when moving quickly in the air or on the ground.

- Trying to hit other players when they are spam leaning or crouching is also very difficult, the player models look very buggy whenever someone leans left and right repeatedly and it can sometimes result in you missing a shot because of it.

- The movement feels very stop-start, the sprinting animation feels choppy and doesn't feel smooth at all as it does in other modern games. Character models also feel a bit choppy if a player is spam leaning or crouching and it makes it harder to hit them.

- The maps are boring and bland, every building feels straight out of a cartoon with simple textures and a plastic aesthetic, the game feels very bright and friendly despite being set in World War 2 and it feels like a cartoon shooter at times.

- The ability to regenerate health in the competitive game mode makes no sense whatsoever, players should be punished for taking unnecessary damage or losing an aim fight and not be allowed to run away, regain their health and come back to try again. This also adds to the stop-start nature of the gameplay as people play very passively knowing they can fall back and regroup, people don't want to take risks as they know they can duck out early and stay alive.

All in all, I would recommend buying the game if you're all about playing competitively but apart from that if you're looking to play the game casually then it's just not for you. If you don't find it fun playing a small group of maps day in and day out or don't enjoy communicating with others constantly then this game isn't for you.

I would also wait for it to be on sale, paying £16 for the game at full price is not worth it with how limited it's content is.

If you're looking for a challenge, then this game will give you that and more on top. Sekiro is undoubtedly more difficult than any of the Dark Souls games and will punish you for every mistake. I've loved the game but my an issue with it is that you can spam deflect with your sword on many enemies, most notably on many enemies with extremely fast attack speeds effectively cancelling every bit of damage they can do to you. I feel that, if the game wasn't so difficult, it would make a lot of sense for FromSoft to add a stamina bar (like in Dark Souls) that would encourage players to jump or dodge attacks rather than deflecting and cheesing enemies. Another issue is that the lack of customisation (cosmetics and weaponry) and PvP reduce the replayability of the game, yes the abilities are great but they don't offer enough that will personally make me replay the game. Every playthrough will be extremely similar except for a few skills and that isn't great.

Nonetheless, it's a great game and a great successor to the Souls series.

Early Access Review
It's a great take on the Battle Royale genre, I feel like the chicken mechanic is a bit daft and really unnecessary. The chicken itself makes no sense, the music that plays is really annoying and I feel that the 'downed' mechanic should be similar to PUBG and Fortnite. Also, it would be best if the chicken mechanic was disabled in the 'solo' game-mode, it makes no sense dying and being given another chance to survive - most of the time people want to leave and start a new game rather than waiting 30 seconds to be trolled and eventually killed.

For a free game, I'm really impressed and considering it's only in Alpha, I'm looking forward to everything that the developers will soon be adding and implementing.

Great game but I doubt it should cost £26.99, it's really expensive for a game that it's in Early Access and that one that has many bugs and glitches.

If you have a strong computer, I would still pay for the game, it's a lot of fun if you can get 60+ fps at most times and great to play with friends. Definitely improved since I first bought it back in April, 2017 on the day it came out.

This game is brilliant but there are several problems that need to be outlined first. Firstly, the Ubisoft servers are absolutely crap and during Casual and Ranked matches, people are always disconnecting. Another problem is the Ranked match ban if you abandon a game or kill too many people, it's only 8 minutes. This means that people will abuse it and carry on ruining Ranked games for other people who want to win knowing that their ban will be very short - I agree that they should be banned for longer periods of time with every offence (as seen in CS:GO). Many people also don't use mics and don't communicate which is a problem in a game where communication is vital in winning. Apart from all this, the game is very enjoyable but I'd recommend playing with friends to avoid any mishaps.
