Aside from the fact that this game looks nice and is a DRG spin-off, I wouldn't recommend it as it is now.

1. Balancing and progression
The balancing in this game after the first few hours get to feel slow and repetitive, as you have to meticulously grind in order to get universal upgrades for stats and dwarfs. Progression does not feel rewarding, it takes to long for how much you get and gets worse with time, with the game getting boring/frustrating quickly.


2. Weapon functionality and Gameplay

This is probably what I dislike most about this game. The way weapons function makes 0 sense to me. No weapons in this game require you to aim, and the way the weapons themselves shoot does not make sense for how gameplay works with fighting the bugs. The game quickly devolves into trying to work around how your weapons do not function effectively with how you want them to, the biggest offender being the flamethrower which spins slowly in a circle (often times not hitting anything) instead of targeting the bugs. You are at the mercy of how your weapon aims. Along with mainly boring % upgrades, there isn't much in the way of creativity or skill in fighting the bugs. Just running, mining and choosing the upgrade with the biggest %.


Conclusion: The game has too much unrewarding grind. The gameplay feels repetitive and frustrating when it comes to how swarms function in respective to how weapons work. Gameplay as a whole feels un-engaging with the feeling of skill not being present at all, just running and mining to escape while fighting against how weapons work, instead of the bugs.
