I found this game hard to engage with. It is all the same and the motivation to actually do anything(even the main story) just isn't there. Honestly, I might play it to the end but I certainly won't remember this game's plot in a weeks time.

There is nothing special about this game. I won't lie but i enjoyed it. There were moments where I didnt know where I was going and even though the game is rather linear, I still got lost as to where I was getting shot from. The game was easy. At the end, when i got the hard difficulty achievement i was a bit shocked but it is still worth the play.

I just don't understand why Rebecca Chambers would wear a choker into battle...

The Forest is a fun game but it isn't without its problems.

I feel there isn't much I can say for gameplay that sets itself apart from other survival games from the time but I'll admit that while other have stayed in Early-Access limbo, the developers of this one did see it through to the end and are working on a sequel which looks vastly better.

BUT... There some issues. Firstly, it was clearly made in Unity. The caves and massive sinkhole in the centre of the map are rather janky and the most dangerous parts of the map or caves don't tend to yield the best loot. For e.g. there is just 5 cannibals between the entrance of the cave and the modern axe which has the best block in the game while the keycard to reach the end of the game is protected by just one mutant . Meanwhile, the modern bow, which is not that good of an upgrade from the bow you craft in protected by 2 massive enemies.

Worth the purchase still if you have friends to play with!

I originally picked this game up because I thought it was like a road trip adventure game where you make your way across a country meeting tonnes of people on the way.

What I got was: exactly that plus a deep story where your choice affect the outcome and in a significant way, not like Telltale games. Everyone been victim to that person who just shares a controversial opinion to you out of nowhere and leaves you feeling awkward or uncomfortable and this game recreates those moments perfectly. I think this game is a massive reflection on the United States and what makes me think this is 3 things: One, its red party vs blue party; two, the word fake news is thrown around a lot by mostly red supporting people and; three, characters often use terms like liberals and communist as a insult to people who share different views and they call the police pigs and bastard.,

For a horror game, the Alien becomes significantly less scary the closer you get to it. The tension that is built as you hear it moving around above and beside you in the vents adds a lot of the atmosphere but once he jumps down he isn't as scary as you'd think. The scariest part of this game is knowing if you die, you might lose 30 minutes of game time. As you get better at moving, things in this game just stop being scary: Androids, you can just kill; Humans, you can bait into shooting you then hide and wait for the Alien to kill them; and the Alien, can be rather blind at times for a super advance xenomorph. Towards the end, I was just shuffle walking down the hall while look at the Alien with the corner of my vision. Speaking of the end, the game become rather tedious and drawn out. The whole chapter where the Alien drags you through the vents could be skipped and little would be lost. I believe they only added this to allow for time for the Alien to get aboard the Torrens story-wise. The ending is rather dissatisfying in my opinion. Overall, as a game, it had my attention for all the way through. It's gameplay was exchanging, its pacing was perfect and for a 6 year old game, it looks really bloody good.

I wish there was a way to just "meh" review it. I've played all the Fallout games excluding FO76 and I try to not be one of those people who complains about the game like it's the government breaching my rights.

That being said, I could go on about the dialogue system, the settlement system, the ability to mod your weapons, etc but I feel like the worst part of this game is the story. Most Fallout games I sit up and pay attention, I am one of those people who actually reads notes and entries on terminals, but with this Fallout I feel like I can have something on the second monitor, or stand up and get a drink while someone is talking. Not only is it dull and boring, its not even an RPG. There is clearly a set path for you to take. When you get the Deliverer Pistol from Deacon at the Switchboard, the option to say 'no' is there but when I pressed it, Deacon just said "take it anyway" like why give me the illusion of choice? And I can't for the life of me figure out why I can't lock myself out of having this gun. The ending choice basically boils down to which faction do you like the most to blow up the institute because even though my character[either Nate or Nora] has a connection to the Father as he is their child, me as the player don't so why would I care when he dies especially when the small time we spent together he was a pretty big arsehole and despite doing all these quest for people, I never feel like I actually made the Commonwealth a different place - for better or worst. I will list the quests that are worth any time; Last Voyage of the U.S.S. Constitution, Silver Shroud, Hole in the Wall, Human Error and the Secret of the Cabot House but all the rest of the quest are can be boiled down to fetch quests or kill quests and that first one is really similar to a quest in F:NV that I would consider that one of the weaker quests in that game so to summarise poor writing, poor story telling, poor environment & world, and poorly written characters, Fallout 4 isn't a bad game, its just a bad RPG. Don't pick it up if you are look for something engaging because Fallout 4 is any but engaging.

I'll just say the worst part of this game first and that is obviously Uplay.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is one of the best expansion pack games ever. It isn't particularly deep but pick it up on sale and you won't regret it. It is rather short so I'd recommend doing all the side mission and collectables before doing any of the main story missions. There is so many pop culture reference, so many funny jokes and parodies. It is making fun of bad sci-fi but has become its own thing and I think that's what makes this game such a gem.
