This is genuine review

After playing Dead Matter for a solid hour and yes, I only needed one hour to form this opinion, I can say, this game is not even close to being worth buying right now.

If I was the one releasing this game I would offer it for free with donations open to help further development, this game is a mess.

I backed this game years ago with the promise of it being the "DayZ Killer" and it's really sad that it's actually gotten worse since I last saw it, I wanted this game to be good so badly and still feel like there is a small part of me that hopes this game gets better, but it's been so many years and all momentum and hype the Devs built is now dead and will always have a stain on their name. QI Games will how to pull a bigger turn around than No Man's Sky by far

• Pros
- General movement feels pretty solid (more about this in cons though)
- Animations are pretty good for the bulk of weapons in this game and eating and drinking looks pretty cool for the food
that has animations
- Shooting a gun feels actually alright to me
- The combat on zombies is kind of smooth? (This is only like 1/4 a pro, for the most part combat is laughable)
- There is loads and loads of zombies that spawn

• Cons
- The graphics are some of the worst I've seen in a game, honestly. (You can look on profile for screen shots)
- Audio is some of the worst I've ever seen in a game, broken, full of clipping and other issues, stacking, crackling, pops,
poorly timed music, and bad balance of weapons and everything else in the game. (I'm a Audio engineer and this is
laughably bad audio work. Things are lacking punch, depth, landing footsteps are hella loud, game just sounds bad)
- The UI is bad, really bad, not the worst I've ever seen but it's slow and clunky, boxes cover other parts of the UI making it
harder to loot, hitting ESC closes current container open, but doesn't go to menu or out of inventory, which is a small
thing but it's noticeable for me. (Hitting Tab will take you out of current open container which is a work around I found)
- Movement is smooth but the parkour system is disruptive, and feels really early still. Bunny hopping while fun... does
break a hardcore hoard survival shooter a little
- The impressive hoard size is quickly made not impressive when the zombie AI can't even move in single player, and multi-
player AI does move, but is super basic with not tactics or real danger, some run? but that's it, they can't climb jump or
combat a player getting on a simple create.
- The servers are bad, lots of de-sync and netcode issues, doors especially lagging to open, containers lagging to open
- Zombies can hit and kill you through walls
- Scopes have a lower resolution than everything else
- There is no goals to this game, by that I mean no much sandbox elements to make it worth your play yet
- The Devs have massively downgraded this game to get it to actually run which means they don't know how to optimize
their game
- The Devs are going to lack motivation on this game because of how poorly this game is received now that they lost trust
within their own community, leading to delays and a hell of a road to getting out of this mess and making a good product


If you're looking for a good survival game, and you don't wanna play the big survival games, like DayZ etc. Mist Survival is made by one man and already loads more fun to play.

Please do not buy this game for 40 bucks, It's probably not going to be worth your time at all.

This game still after all this time has so many issues. It honestly isn't a good game and isn't redeemable. The devs are going to ditch it next game and hopefully make something better but it's just such a trash game as it stands. It feels dated in so many areas and doesn't hold up to today's standards. When Call Of Duty Shines leagues above this hot garbage. You know it's really bad. This game might have a moment or two that's like classic battlefield but they do not care about you. Me, or anyone else other than your money. This game and the company don't deserve your money and honestly you're going to be better off playing with your own foot than wasting time in this pointless. directionless. buggy. ugly. poor choices made. pile of what E.A calls a game. I would be embarrassed to have worked on this flop of software

I've spent a good bit of time now into the game and already leveled up to the max. Still working on grinding the camos
And I gotta say I love this game so much. I have loads of fun!

But it's not all amazing. No game is perfect but this game really feels good to me for the most part. But there is a lot of range for how this game feels from perfect to unplayable. I would recommend people buying this game and playing it

• Good Stuff •
Game Runs very well for me at least. I don't dip in frames ever. and I don't have a super PC
Most guns are usable and can kill and I feel comfortable
Ground war is really solid feeling and a lot of fun if you're a fan of BattleField
Graphics look really really good for how well this game runs
Footstep audio sounds good to me and I can tell where people are (Some people are not as lucky however)
A good selection of guns to use and verity to choose from
New camo grind system I'm at least very happy with and love the change
Game is hella fun
Inspect animations are super dope!
The sound design is pretty solid. But has some to be desired
Guns feel responsive and comfortable to use
Death coms are very dank. Love hearing the N word yelled at me for killing someone
Campaign Is one of my new favorites for Call of duty now
Hoping DMZ and Warzone 2 will be good!
Dolphin diving is balanced I feel. There is enough time between diving and being able to fire
Same for Sliding. sliding doesn't feel broken
Leveling up feels like it progresses at a nice speed. not too fast. not too slow

• Bad Stuff •
SBR-209 Needs a nerf but I actually haven't been too dunked on by this gun. There are work arounds
STB 556 (AUG) Is a fairly broken AR. It's got a crazy fast time to kill at range and close. And good mobility
Snipers pretty much only dominate on Invasion and ground war
Invasion doesn't allow Squad spawning and when you die it pulls you out of combat and is just such a drag to get back into
Most of the maps I have found ways to be effective on
Santa Sena Border Crossing. Who thought this was a good idea? this map suck (Highway Map)
The cars on this map can be blown up and kill you very easily and feel really frustrating
Being Killed by guys you don't even see. but on their scree you're just standing there like an idiot
Getting killed behind walls after taking cover because your character's model isn't behind cover yet with your camera view
The AI in Invasion is kind of laughable. There is no real threat to them. I don't want them to be Aimbots but I don't want them to feel useless
Footsteps are noticeable worse from the Beta
Going from Co-op to MP Will remap your controls every time. very annoying

Game has Loads of potential, pretty solid as of right now,

it looks and kinda feels like DayZ, and Tarkov mixed,
It's still in Early Access but the video from 2018 makes it look like nothing has been done since then,
i hope the dev team keeps working on this and it's not another cash grab, this 100% could be a DayZ killer
if the devs keep working on it, Now about the hackers i really haven't had any encounters with hackers, (yet)
i have had some stuff that is really janky, like Headshotting someone standing still and them turning around and spraying me and i die, when the Headshot from an AK-Mod as they call it, should have killed him from the back of the head from 3m, so keep shooting until they are dead folks

I've had pretty much only fun times with this game and if you play it now, you should too, if you don't let bad reviews get in your way, or you're not a baby and cry about dying from spawn sometimes


(NOTE: this is the current big bugs, and this is how you avoid them, i'll update this if i find more)

• DO NOT QUIT GAME FROM DEATH SCREEN, it will think you have started over on the server, and when you come back it will wipe your whole safe zone inventory

I think so many people sell this game short, when you get past some of it's dated Looks the game is quite Awesome, i would go as far as to say this is hands down the best Survival Game out there, in terms of survival

◘ Pros
• Loads of things to do (for me this is awesome)
• Lots of Zombies, like actual hordes,
• Minecraft style building
• Mining in a minecraft style but different,
• Diverse Zombie types, with zombie bosses
• Everything can be destroyed (with the exception of bedrock)
• most everything gameplay wise Works,
• Craftable Truck, Motorcycle, Mini Bike, Bicycle, and Gyrocopter
• Leveling System, with many skills and trees for your game style
• Adjustable Server/Single Player settings for how often hordes come or even if they do

◘ Cons
○ Gun play is not so good, it works but its just basic gun play
○ Game looks old (not really a issue with me cause gameplay is king for this game)
○ Menu Music is pretty loud when you first load in
○ The Quick Craft buttons are kinda annoying at first when you don't understand them
○ The game has tutorials but, are not very great at explaining some of it (Sometimes they are mostly good)

Fantastic game its for the most part even, shooting feels pretty good, Headshots are very good, and team work is everything its very good and its free, you have nothing but good ahead of you

This game Is a Very Very good game, i would say this game is the best Survival Games out there today! and its Players can be very very toxic, but when you get past that, the Sun that is Rust shines thru and hits you in your Censored Di*k,
I've been playin the game sense the Start. take my word for it when you get past the Jerks, you will love (and sometimes hate) this amazing game they are always putting out new updates and trying unlike other games out there! And you will see a lot of people Bit*hing About the Players KOS-ing (Kill on Sight), but this is the way it is Stop being a baby and have fun Gah

I've had this game since It came out And i love it everyday, i also have put way to many hours into this game, I've never found any real issues with the game myself, other then when starting off the game its pretty slow going but when you get past that its Super fast and very fun, People will say its 2D minecraft and in the very basic it is, BUT this game has sooo much more to offer then minecraft ever can if this game was 3D i would never play anything else EVER!, Long story Short I love this game! :)

do Not buy this "Game" it is really badly Done in a lot of ways game play is okay, at best, and it has NEVER run right on my PC, and My Pc is nice, this game just Makes me want to go kill the people who made it sucks that much, German STG 44 Over power AS HELL no way you can you do anything with germans being so OP, RU is not very good, and the US, is not very good, Germans Always win and The FACT THAT YOU CAN BUY RANK IS SOOOOOOOOO DUMB! WTF is wrong with this game.

Its just the Best thing :) its really really good just play it for you're self you'll love it
