I won't mention screen names, but be careful if someone sends you links. Double check to make sure they aren't related to phishing scams. I had to block someone 11.17.2024 for sending me a link that was clearly misspelled, but I think he was hopeful that I would see that it was an alleged gift and click it. Based on the link being fishy, AI also said it appeared to be a phishing scam. That's foul.

To smile in my face and send a link like that is screwed up, so now he's blocked and if Valve confirms that the link was scam related he might find his account in jeopardy. I hope he didn't get anyone to click that link. Always check the spelling, and ask AI is the link safe if you can't identify if it is or not. Be safe and... game on!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is a game that I play once in awhile and it always reminds me why I don't play the game as often as I would play Battlefield. One huge thing that stands out in a lot of multiplayer shooters is team work vs strategic-less running & gunning, pros vs joes can be fun sometimes but it doesn't make for memorable gameplay in my book.

If you love video games, do what you can to afford them so that the developers are able to make money. Everyone can't afford to make them for free, and that's why you rarely see any free ones without micro-transactions that are actually worth more than $0.

A developer can make money without milking our pockets dry though, because some chop up their games for additional profit making them just a little more extensive than some free-to-play games, but when the support is stripped away from that practice, it will be a turn for the better. Full retail price should include full content always.

Shaping Steam, should be completely customizable, or there should be various options that allow us to change up the UI and where things are placed. All Valve has to do is add a UI option up at the top between "Games" & "Help" and let us select and switch, custom skins and the way we want our profile page to look, could even be in there.

With Xbox powered by greed & potentially the NSA using Kinect (beyond the supposed target advertisement), Playstation launching very few new releases on the new console, and Nintendo trying to convince investors to have faith versus adding things that will boost incentives to gamers (like an achievement system on the Wii U & 3DS that go beyond in-game-only achievements), it increases my appreciation of Steam that much more. I can't say this doesn't decrease my interest in getting the Wii U and maybe even the PS4 based also on 1st Party game releases also, but Steam has taken a lead role along with my 3DS.

Want to enjoy a great worthwhile multiplayer experience? Game with people that desire the same. There is nothing like team deathmatches where all players are on the same page, chatting for the purpose of strategy, and utilizing team play. It amps up the challenge, and if you are a fan of tournaments, you really set yourself up for tournaments if you are use to playing in such tournament fashion.

The matches are much more satisfying over those where teammates are decreasing the value of matches by either cheating or going saboteur (intentionally). These awesome experiences come when you actually invest some time in the community and gain friends that have similar games, but at times you get lucky with strangers. Game on!

Don't blame video games for violence. You have highly impressionable people in the world that have been doing all types of stuff since the birth of man, video games haven't been around for that long... so what's the excuse for them?

Music existed before videogames, Books existed before videogames, Movies existed before videogames, and so did common sense, over reactors, trouble makers, leaders, followers, good, bad, etc. Parent's especially have no room to speak about videogames considering the fact that raising a child doesn't fall on anyone except the parent, or guardian, and sometimes a child doesn't have either and is incredibly mature. You make decisions for your child, games have ratings for a reason, the parents that point fingers at a game rated "M" for mature, has 3 fingers pointing back at them. Even the gun manufacturers that profit from tools that are used for harming/killing (in self-defense, cold hearted attacks, etc.)... aren't responsible for a person's actions.

<-Reply: Borderlands 2 is a great game hands down. I certainly recommend it. Now is a good time to invest in it. They have the "Game Of The Year" edition now. I also have a massive pile of games unfinished or not even started. lol The woe's of Gamer. :bandit: :)

Looking at the controller a bit more for the Steam Machine, it would likely take some getting use to, but it may grow on me. I'd have to see though because the set up may be a challenge in regards to FPS games. We usually get the analog + buttons + shoulders + dpad, and the layout switches that up a lot considering the fact that some things aren't there (at least in the way i've grown accustom to). Having buttons in the middle of the gamepad likely serves as buttons, but they are challenging people to be a bit on the ambidextrous side with that.

The good thing about all this, is that we aren't stuck with this gamepad, not to say it's bad (I haven't used it yet, and would love to be one of the people to try it out) we just have additional options.

If you are talking to someone on the phone, and they say "hello", don't say "hello" or else they might assume that the connection is bad. It's still funny to think about at times... why follow up with "Hello" if you are able to hear them?

Anyway, I was counting down the days to Steam's Big Picture mode... now i'm looking forward to SteamOS and possibly becoming one of the selected candidates to try it out. That would be sick, and if the initial specs are awesome... I definitely plan to explore, have some fun, followed by plenty of feedback (that may benefit us all in the long run).
