I'd rate Crash Time 2-3 even higher than Death Track, too bad no reason to replay them, and no way to obtain 4-5 on Steam - they died on Windows Game Live T_T Hope they'll make new one or remaster some day, the playstyle really kicks for me - not just races, but also pursuits, shadowing, shootings and even RC-car bombing, lol. I get bored with normal racing games.
I also liked Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit for that reason. Wish more games in that style.

The main advice: money is limited in the game, so don't spread, don't buy cars, upgrade initial one, it's really good. When you win Boss Car - buy it and upgrade. After that you're free to spend on anything if you can still procure money lol.
Also try different modes when you can't beat a race: modern vs classic. In classic enemies don't respawn, so you know what to do. But so do you, so if you can't keep yourself alive - use modern again.
Knowing that stuff makes the game quite enjoyable, i guess most were disappointed there's no multiplayer, and maybe that weird money vs campaign progression as well.

Yeah I played Death Track a little, probably should go back to it at some point since it did seem to be alright from what I played. And yea I've seen them, or rather I've played the 2nd, wasn't too impressed tbh, tho I also dropped it pretty quickly so maybe I should return to that too
