Feels like Fortnite but no building nonsense; pure action-packed vehicular (if you want) madness. Variety of characters is great, very well balanced and unique.

The community is probably the best part, with no text or server-wide voice chat I can form a squad with my kids and they enjoy it as much as me. Even when they solo the game they have been surrounded by a full squad at the end of a game and everyone ended up dancing together because they're not too try-hard. Having said that, I love a challenge, and that is available to me too when I want to solo!

As of writing this review I had 2270 hours playing this game, I love the random elements, it makes each play through different and challenging. I also have 580 hours in solo DS. The fact that the modder community is so active, and the developers keep coming out with new content makes it a very good investment. Certainly a Labour of Love (a Steam award I nominated it for)!

An emotionally charged coming of age puzzle adventure. If it doesn't bring tears of happiness / frustration / sorrow / joy to your eyes, I don't know what will! It's not particularly challenging but buy it when it's on special for the play style, as a unique "single player co-op" (esp. if you have a controller with two sticks), or enjoy it as a simple interactive 2-player story on the same keyboard, as I did with my kids. Just be aware, it does get quite dark and surreal / scary for kids, with drowning, family member loss and even suicide being very minor themes that might affect people sensitive to that sort of thing. It is entirely linear, but many incidental obects and people can be interacted with by both brothers in different ways, and there are 12 side achievements you can work towards. If for no other reason, the visual aesthetics and certain cut scenes are magnificent, making it a most enjoyable 4-6 hour journey. I thoroughly recommend it!

cRPG based on the original Shadowrun tabletop role-playing game from the 90s. Cyberpunk meets fantasy races, with magic, psi powers, cyberware, remote controlled drones, and inter-dimensional enemies. Engaging story intrigue, with interesting NPCs, and many great fan mods available in workshop to continue the storyline after completing the official game

A great prequel to the XCOM series. Purely looking at it only as an action 3PS, with no prior interest in XCOM, you will probably not like it. If you ignore expectations built up from playing other 3PS games (it is not pure 3PS, rather it is sort of halfway between the turn-based isometric XCOM games and a tactical command 3PS), and suspend your disbelief, allowing yourself to get immersed into this great backstory to the XCOM storyline, it's actually fairly enjoyable. At the risk of comparing the two games (beause TB:XD is in a totally different league to X:E), I see the poor reaction to "The Bureau: XCOM Declassified" as somewhat similar to that of "XCOM: Enforcer," people just don't know how to enjoy a game for its intended feel / storyline, and get too caught up in game mechanics! That said, I think they do some interesting things with it. Try it out if it's on special. Enjoy!

Loadout is a fast-paced F2P 3PS where you design your own weapons / loadout. $IRL only buys cosmetics so you can't pay-to-win. Unlock new weapon mods in your tech tree and level them up, etc Great fun!

Gametypes in both PvP and PvBots (co-op) are:

* Blitz (random KOTH cap point)
* Death Snatch (DM with those killed dropping crystals that need to be collected to confirm kill)
* Domination (3 x set KOTH points simultaneously)
* Jackhammer (CTF with "flag" being a melee weapon you can kill with to multiply the cap value)
* Extraction (1 member of each team is randomly selected as the collecter who picks up crystals and drops them in set collection points, while team defends him or attacks other team's collecter)

Equipment you can unlock includes grenades (explosive, incendiary or tesla), disguise (a bit like TF2 spy, but limited like their cloak is), health/ammo pack drop, trapped health/ammo pack, turret (TF2 engi), jump boots (TF2 scout double jumping), personal shield, and even curved shield wall

Probably the best part of the game are the various weapons including rifle, pulse, beam or rocket, with so many different types of mods to make short-range instakiller, great mid-ranged variations, sniper, pyro, area-of-effect, sticky mines, even walking bombs, etc, etc So many different possibilities!

The bots (computer-controlled fighters just like the players, not actual robots like in TF2's MvM) can be challenging for low-level players, but with good tactics / teammates, and perseverance you can find ways to beat them.

PvP community lost their Australian servers, unfortunately, but Asia isn't too far away. Random matches might include high level players that you will get pummelled by, or complete noobs who will make it easy for you to advance in XP and Blutes ($). Teams are randomised each round (unless you form a party with friends), so you shoulndn't get pummelled every round if you keep at it. They don't have difficulty levels (except the ranked exhibition matches), but a little perseverance will have you unlocking / levelling up your weapons and equipment and doing well in no time.

If the gore / profanity / nudity is too much for you, you can just turn off those settings (as I did for the latter two). Great game, I highly recommend it, and hope to have you in my party soon!

Many say X-COM: Enforcer was the worst of the X-COM franchise experiments, but I think Interceptor is even worse! Good idea; something like Star Control space opera exploration, etc, with Tie Fighter style battles, but I never could really got into it...

Considered by many to be the worst of the X-COM games (I don't think it's as bad as X-COM Interceptor!), I don't really consider it part of the series at all. When you look at it on its own, I don't mind it as a fun FPS. Heaps of different upgradeable weapons, with other upgradeable stats and pickups available, the difficulty can be ramped up to make it more challenging. Alright if you can get over your angst at how they ruined the X-COM franchise
