Fallout 4 is, without a doubt, a good game. It has a massive open world, fun combat, and many customization options. However, compared to the previous Fallout titles, it falls short of capturing the essence that made those games special.

The role-playing aspects that defined Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas have been watered down in Fallout 4. The focus on settlement building and the shift toward a more action-oriented gameplay experience is a big departure from the more thoughtful, strategic choices of earlier games. Dialogue options feel more limited, and the branching narratives that were a hallmark of the franchise are mostly gone.

While Fallout 4 is still an enjoyable game in its own right, it doesn't quite live up to the deep storytelling and complex world-building that fans of the series have come to expect. If you're a die-hard fan of the series, you might find yourself longing for the days of real RPG elements and meaningful decisions.

In short, Fallout 4 is a solid game, but if you’re looking for that classic Fallout experience, you’ll find it more in the older titles.

If you're a fan of the series or survival horror, this is a must-play despite its rough edges. Just be prepared to tweak settings (or mod) for a smoother ride.

The game delivers an atmospheric and dynamic survival experience with its updated A-Life 2.0 system, making the Zone feel more alive than ever. The emergent gameplay and stunning visuals create a hauntingly immersive world, but technical issues still hold it back imo. FPS drops, especially during intense moments, can disrupt the experience, though community mods help alleviate performance problems.

Early Access Review
In the depths of space, where abandoned moons lurk and shadows dance, a chilling co-op experience awaits. Lethal Company is a unique blend of survival horror and dark comedy, where teamwork, camaraderie, and a healthy dose of paranoia are the keys to survival.

Set in a retrofuturistic post-apocalyptic universe, Lethal Company casts you as a group of hardened scavengers, tasked with venturing into the depths of derelict moon bases to retrieve valuable scrap metal. However, these abandoned outposts are not your average mining sites; they harbor sinister secrets and lurking horrors that will test your nerves and bond you with your teammates like never before.

The game's co-op mode is where Lethal Company truly shines. Working together to navigate the treacherous environments, solve puzzling challenges, and fend off the lurking threats is an absolute blast. The tension is palpable as you communicate with your squad, sharing crucial information and strategizing your next move. Every creak of the floorboards, every distant groan echoes through your headsets, sending shivers down your spines.

The game's unique sound design plays a crucial role in building suspense and atmosphere. Every step you take, every door you open, every object you interact with creates a cacophony of sounds that can either alert the lurking threats or draw you closer to hidden treasures. The developers have expertly crafted an audio landscape that perfectly complements the game's dark, eerie setting.

The thrill of discovery is ever-present in Lethal Company. As you explore the abandoned moon bases, you'll uncover hidden chambers, secret passages, and valuable scrap metal that will earn you Company credits. The more you collect, the more powerful upgrades you can purchase for your gear, making each run more efficient and exhilarating.

However, the true challenge lies in the game's dynamic enemy encounters. As you venture deeper into the moons, you'll encounter a variety of mutated creatures, each with its own unique abilities and behaviors. These hostile entities will test your reflexes, teamwork, and communication skills, as you work together to take them down.

The game's atmosphere is further enhanced by its retrofuturistic visuals, which blend elements of classic sci-fi with a touch of modern aesthetic. The abandoned moon bases are beautifully rendered, with intricate details and a sense of decay that is both captivating and unsettling.

Overall, Lethal Company is a truly unique and exhilarating co-op experience that blends survival horror, dark comedy, and teamwork in a way that is both terrifying and rewarding. With its creepy atmosphere, dynamic enemy encounters, and rewarding cooperative gameplay, Lethal Company is a must-play for any fan of horror games or co-op adventures.

So gather your friends, grab your flashlights, and prepare to face the horrors that lurk in the darkness. In Lethal Company, teamwork is the only way to survive.

Starfield: A Journey from Frustration to Elation

12 Oct 2023

Today marked a turning point in my Starfield experience. After struggling with crashes and freezes for what felt like an eternity, I finally stumbled upon a solution that transformed my gameplay. FSR2 combined with DLSS3, and the game-changing addition of DLSS-G for Frame Generation, has been a game-changer.

Step 1: Obtain Starfield Frame Generation - Replacing FSR2 with DLSS-G.

Step 2: Head to the Nvidia Control Panel and set an FPS limit/Max Frame Rate (mine's at 156).

With these adjustments, my gaming sessions have become smoother than ever. No more frustrating interruptions, just pure immersion. Huge thanks to LukeFZ for sharing this fix!

Old Game Experience

9 Sep 2023

If you're on Intel, my advice is to hold off until a fix arrives. The game's constant crashing made for a frustrating experience. Even with an SSD, the crashes persisted.

13 Sep 2023

Despite the setbacks, the game still managed to captivate me. Even after enduring 2 crashes in a 2-hour session, I found myself drawn back in.

14 Sep 2023

Unfortunately, my enthusiasm was dampened by more crashes. Losing progress due to corrupted saves was disheartening, to say the least.

21 Sep 2023

The frustration peaked when I found myself stranded in space after yet another crash, unable to travel or land.

24 Sep 2023

Even moments of triumph, like finding a legendary gun, were marred by subsequent crashes and lost loot.

25 Sep 2023

Mission after mission became an exercise in futility as crashes continued to plague my gameplay.

28 Sep 2023

A staggering 14 crashes in just over 2 hours and 30 minutes. It was becoming unbearable.

30 Sep 2023

The game's instability persisted, with crashes occurring mere minutes into gameplay.

3 Oct 2023

Each crash felt like a stab of frustration, further eroding my enjoyment of the game.

9 Oct 2023

Two hours of progress lost in an instant due to crashes and corrupted saves. The tally of crashes climbed higher, leaving me bewildered and frustrated.

10 Oct 2023

The cycle of crashes seemed unending, turning what should have been a straightforward mission into a marathon of frustration.

From the depths of frustration to the heights of enjoyment, my journey through Starfield has been a rollercoaster ride. But with perseverance and the right tweaks, the stars have aligned, and the game has truly come into its own.
