yeah its alright

Really can't overstate my passion for this game, I know it sounds like a pretty standard thing for multiplayer games, but genuinely the hundreds upon hundreds of hours of fun i've had with so many different groups all bonding over the same 2.5-Dimensional boat game is really something unique.

In terms of cons, the main drawback of barotrauma is that after the first few playthroughs (assuming you have the attentionspan to run through it fully) it gets a bit stale, assuming you're playing alone or in limited company. I find myself wishing there were more titanic monsters in the abyss, and that the game was more scary when it came to the horrors of the open water. Though, in fairness, It's more than likely this is just 'cause of the aformentioned hundreds upon hundreds of hours.

In terms of Pros, I only really have one thing to say.
It can be so many things all at the same time, with the capacity to give you a hundred hours of one gamemode, with a hundred of another, with many more that all provide a stimulating experience. Whether you want to stick to the traditional Campaign/Mission completion servers, Traitor/Custom Traitor missions, Sandbox roleplay servers, PVE/NPC (Husk, Seperatist) survival servers, PVP (Land-based and Water-bound) servers, there's bound to be a niche for any new player to come across and enjoy. I found myself enjoying every single one of them all for the entirely unique forms of gameplay they require.

There's something truly unique about a game that can have you sweating one second, praying that your crew doesnt notice you were the last one out of the docking room as they choke on welding fuel through their oxygen masks and the next second grappling with an eldritch horror that would leave Ahab sweating in his bed. The variety of gameplay and the unique experiences that can occur with each playthrough, each friend group and each server type is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ incredible.

I'll never forget this game for what it offered me through the last 3 years, possibly the hardest years of my life due to you-know-what and it's consequences. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ journey, and I really look forward to seeing how Undertow makes the next 1300 Hours worth every minute spent in their next game :)
