Easily one of the best written stories I have ever experienced. And the gameplay is amazing too. Not even a question, everyone should buy and play this GOAT.

This is an exceptional game, and almost the perfect sequel. It expands on its predecessor in every conceivable way. The combat is a joy, the story is decent, some of the character writing is absolutely amazing, and the customization is seemingly limitless. It took me about 73 hours to 100% the game, and though it was a bit of a slog in the middle with the story slowing down a bit, things kick back into high gear quick and don't let up until the very end. There isn't much of a post-story game to speak of besides collectibles and any side quests or bounties you missed (highly recommend collecting all the bounties) but the combat is so much fun that I can hardly complain. Also God bless the fast travel system, I never would have attempted a 100% playthrough without it after my Fallen Order experience (though the level design here is much improved).

This is all held back a bit by the performance issues and bugs (yes they still exist in 2025) but I found a number of mods that fixed these problems (mostly). These are the mods I installed; I have an RTX 3080 TI so things might be different on AMD systems.

I also deleted the startup movie files and used the following mod to skip shader precompilation, make sure you disable this after changing graphics settings or updating drivers. This makes the game reach the main menu after launching MUCH faster.

P.S. Be careful with certain mods for this game, the Outfit Manager mod disabled my achievements until I uninstalled the game and deleted my game file. Luckily I was able to continue on my save without issue after reinstalling and getting every mod back except that one...and Lightsaber Marks :(

Truly an incredible experience, if a little short. Beautiful graphics, bug free, engaging lightsaber combat and exploration, and an interesting story supported by endearing characters. The force abilities are pretty basic, and the boss battles could be more engaging, but considering the last comparable game (The Force Unleashed 2) released in 2010, this is a solid starting point for a new Star Wars game series.

Beautiful little interactive movie about a very unfortunate family. Super engaging, doesn't overstay its welcome. Highly recommended.

As much as I would love to recommend this phenomenal game, the dev has seemingly abandoned it and it will never be finished. If it looks really fun to you, and you think it's worth it in the state it's in, then buy it, because workshop support was added right before the dev disappeared and that might take this game far. But I can't recommend an unfinished product in good faith.

Genuinely an amazing time with friends. The skill ceiling here is astronomically high, I could see myself putting thousands of hours into getting good at this game if I was more interested. It does take a solid 8-10 hours of experience to move and shoot well enough for online play, and I could never imagine playing this game alone with randoms; that sounds like torture. But besides all that, this is a real gem. This game's monetization strategy also gives off a strong anti-greed sentiment that I can get behind. The game is free, the "premium" is $15 dollars for life, and the battle passes stick around until completed and can be freely switched between to progress, so no FOMO. Very cool!

Story is meh and kinda short but telepathy is fun and I like the sense of humor. There's a lot of good here, and there's also a lot of questionable mechanics and unrealized potential. I think the pros outweigh the cons.

Early Access Review
Couldn't recommend enough, as of now it's not even finished and it's still my GOTY. Currently has more content than the finished first game does. I miss the sense of humor prevalent in the first game, but it shines through on occasion here. I also liked the first game's characters more, but as stated, this game is incomplete, so I'm sure I'll come around once the story is completed.

The gameplay is a 10/10. It started out a bit slower and it's still slower than the first game, but in terms of depth, if Hades was a swimming pool, this game is the Mariana Trench. The countless updates have only improved the experience. Good builds are even better, encounters are more abundant, enemies are more visually interesting and attack in more unique ways. The new weapons are amazing and the aspects encourage their own interesting playstyles. Even the level layouts have been changed, sometimes forcing several encounters in the same room, containing a few giant rooms instead of the usual onslaught of tiny spaces, or even dropping you into a bossfight in the middle of the level (there's still another one at the end).

The new artwork is phenomenal, the music is 15/10, and the voice acting is just as abundant and consistently good as in the first game. I could go on for another 3 paragraphs but you get the point. Stop reading and add to cart.
