A solid port that people will sadly pass on due to the reputation of NISA.

It runs flawlessly with no issues at 60 FPS. I am dumbfounded by how good this port is. A substantial upgrade from the GameCube version.

As for the game itself, this is one you have to play to truly experience. The store description will do a better job at explaining it than I ever could.


Some info for you guys:

• It is a true PC port that runs flawlessly. Works comfortably with both KBM and Controller. All bindings are configurable for both.
  
  
• Despite the rumours and the first announcement trailer for the game, it does NOT run on Dolphin nor is it in any way similar to Dolphin. I've played killer7 on Dolphin four times over. They are nothing alike.
  
  
• From what I hear, the devs that worked on this port are not associated with devs from NISA's past ports. You can be sure that this one is great.
  
  
• NISA are actively ironing out any issues a very small amount of people are having. If you see the Troubleshooting section of the Community Hub, they are responding quickly and concisely to fix any issues users may face. A patch was pushed out a mere few hours after release to fix some users not being able to start the game.
  
  
• Harman is a smelly old man.

Absolutely worth the price and more. I hope anybody who buys it for the first time thoroughly enjoys it. Have fun!

P.S. Those of you that love the game on GC but are hesitant buying on PC, Suda51 wants to do a sequel to this game. How well the remaster sells could depend on that also. Show your love for the franchise and you may just get a sequel. <3

A game I would love to get more attention. Such a charming game with much love put into it. Fun with friends and watching yourself get faster the more you play is satisfying. I really, really wish this was more popular. The workshop needs to fill!

Each patch that attempted to fix bugs just introduced 100 more. The game is currently at its worst state. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of the franchise and I bought the game on release. This is just unacceptable. You have killed this game, GUN/Illfonic.

A fantastic game unfortunately brought down with age. Read this to hopefully solve the issues:
To play Assassin's Creed properly, block it with your firewall to stop it connecting to the now dead Ubisoft servers, otherwise the game will crash. This game is known to crash randomly in DirectX 10 mode for some users. Try using DirectX 9 mode if you have these issues. This also makes it texture-moddable and ENB compatible if you use those. This game doesn't need UPlay. Hooray!

The game itself is the first in a now vast series. It may be more basic than the others and even repetitive at times, but it certainly has the best atmosphere and immersion than the others. Set sometime during the 3rd Crusade in the Holy Lands you are Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, a veteran assassin of The Creed turned brash and overconfident. Stripped of your rank after failing your most important mission, you must prove yourself once again to the brotherhood while you yourself unravel a mysterious plot that everyone seems to be dismissing. There's much, much more to this story.

Being set in the holy lands, some of the cities you visit include Jerusalem, Acre, Damascus and more. King Richard I and Saladin are mentioned frequently as it is the era of the 3rd Crusade. The population and culture tends to differ each city depending on who has control if it, either the "Saracens" or "Crusaders" and you can ususally find men standing on corners, preaching for either cause to the crowds. The Templars play a big role in this game... And in the whole series.

Assassin's Creed was one of the first games to introduce parkour/free-running into an open world, combining it with the stealth mechanics of assassination as well as challenging action-oriented combat requiring precise timing in your moves to pull it off well (moreso than the later games). This can prove to become rather easy in time however. To accomplish the assassination of your targets, you must learn the best way to do it by acquiring information about them. This can be done through eavesdropping, completing missions for your fellow assassins in exchange for intel, pickpocketing letters detailing things about the event the target is attending, among other things. The more you acquire, the more intel you have on your target to make the best possible strike. This can help make your assassination better for you, should you plan it out carefully.

The soundtrack is composed by none other than Jesper Kyd who also went on to compose the soundtrack for the next three sequels. The music sets the tone for the setting. Fitting in with the culture of the time along with the mysterious yet epic score for the story, it's a big part of the game.

Overall, Assassin's Creed is a fun, atmospheric open world game that has a thought provoking story which you can immerse yourself in. While dated and repetitive in its side missions, the main story and core gameplay more than make up for it. It sets up the sequel very well at the end of the game. All in all, I definitely recommend it.

Don't believe the mass Kojima mob. Konami may be evil, but they've done a hell of a good job with this game. If this was a cash grab, the lengths gone to develop this game and give it a story, even casette tapes to listen to like MGS V, well, that wouldn't happen. I can tell you that. This game is pretty good, and very addicting.

2018's GOTY for me. You just can't beat a game like this honestly.

Highly faithful and accurate remake of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, with new features of course. This is definitely worth your money.
