The new two new areas and story are over with incredibly quickly if you go from start to finish in one go with most of the abilities unlocked, and some of the new abilities makes the escape sequences (especially the finale) very easy in comparison to before.

But other than that Definitive Edition also comes with new secrets, map additons, and a fast-travel system between the spirit wells.

TL;DR
It has some cons, but overall it's a decent addition to the game.

Wether you consider the price worth it is up to you as an individual. I personally got it for 5 bucks so I consider it very worth it for an excuse to pour another 5-6 hours into this game.

If you've run out of stuff to do in this game, you seriously lack imagination.

(You won't find a better dollar-to-hours of > actual < entertainment ratio)

A beautiful and fun game I can hardly recommend more, if you've been thinking about buying it - Go do so now.

The story moved me to tears several times, and I found the gameplay to be fun, smooth and rewarding. I spent a lot of time going back to find some of the secret areas in the game, and will probably try and find more even though I've completed the story. One of the first games in a long time that I fully consider myself a fan of.

The puzzles throughout the game never felt too hard, there was only once or twice where I found myself stumped for an extended period, but I figured them all out without help.

The gameplay/movement was very fun, I could spend hours just jumping around the (open!) world trying to find those last trinkets I've missed. Although, at some point during the game the regular enemies went from challenging to minor annoyance, but you've got a lot of other stuff to worry about anyways, so it balances out.

10/10 Complete endorsement on my part.

Definetely worth the money!

I found the combat very fun, and I really enjoyed going about reading the various tablets with quotes/parts of the illiad, etc. on them. Great example of how you can learn through gaming, and while I already knew a lot it prompted me to check out a few things I didn't know about greek mythology.

The only bugs I've encountered is that throwing thunderbolts in water makes them float in air (which is hilarious), and a crash bug sometimes on transition, but I never lost any progress because of it. So no biggie.

Very good game.
