I wanted to wait until separate ways were out to give a review on this game. and honestly, I think it outshines the original! I grew up playing the original on the gamecube, PS2, Wii, or whatever I had the game on. and seeing what they've done with this remake is phenomenal. Everything has been touched up on, and even though the area's look different, they're still recognizable, like they have a new coat of paint on. The knife-parrying mechanic is super fun and engaging! Separate Ways is a fully redone side story that is very fun and interesting. It has new merchant challenges and helps explain how Ada helped Leon throughout the story without him seeing her. They also add a room and a boss that were missing from the first game for Ada to go through instead. Overall, Capcom has blown this remake out of the water. I think it's perfect and an amazing modernization of a classic.

The crystals in the guardian take down raid are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ INSUFFERABLE. Why on gods green ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ earth would you allow the crystals to explode. Took 50 years off my life expectancy cause I thought it was a bug. WHY DO THEY EXPLODE LITERALLY WHY.
